New China Wok — Restaurant in Laurel

I will not recommend this place to anyone because they demonstrated their dislike for people of color to me today. They know calling the police on blacks for no reason awards them with a smile from the police looking for something to keep him busy. They maybe Chinese but they are racist waiting to place you in the hands of properly a racist policemen. I am a foreign national and have been living here in MS for awhile. My choice of visiting this resturant is basically because they are probably the closest to me otherwise there is nothing special about their food. One day I walk in for a take out plate and while checking out I notice the bill was above the price. The Chinese girl who I notice was taking instructions from the chinese guy said the plate was heavy so there is an extra charge. I told them well I am not awear of extra charges and do not wish to pay extra so either they keep their food or show me what need to make it a normal plate. They decided they will rather keep their food so I walk away believing it was a mutual understanding. I went there few days later with the intention of eating there but as I walk in the girl started shouting I made them waste their food last time and that I didn't have money to pay. This was so embarrassing so I try to say no I didn't waste your food neither did I come here without money to eat. Instead you made the decision to refuse me the food. If I had read this I wouldn't believe the next thing she was on phone calling the police. Funny enough there was a police car right outside parking just by my car when I walked in. Immediately the white young looking officer walked into the resturant he Chinese girl started lieing she ask me to walk out that I refused. Then the police ask me to come out with him I obeyed. Just as we got outside without a word from me he was shouting on top of his voice "next time they ask you to walk out leave. Leave here now or I take you with me". I didn't say a word I just walk to my car by my door call my wife to tell her what has just happened. Thinking that was it all only for the police to walk towards me after he had left back to the stop. I was far away from the resturant at list anyone who has visited this place know exactly what the distance from the parking to the resturant. The office ask for my ID then I gave it to him he called my drivers license number over the phone then gave me back said I should drive away or he will take my car away with me. I just entered my car drove off... Take a look at the picture they have up here. They have so much disrespect for blacks. I call on people of good sense of responsibility Black or White to avoid this place untill they understand that this is America. There maybe need for the relevant authorities to check their employees working status as well as taxes. Chinese businesses in America are gradually developing some bad business cultures...

be me hungry af decide to try New China Wok walk in, greeted by friendly staff mfw the place smells like heaven see they have an all-you-can-eat buffet instantly sold grab a plate, start loading up General Tso's chicken, fried rice, egg rolls, lo mein, and more first bite of General Tso's chicken taste buds explode sweet, spicy, crispy perfection fried rice is fluffy and flavorful egg rolls are crispy and packed with veggies lo mein is savory and delicious can't stop eating staff checks on me, super nice they even refill my water without asking go back for round two try the beef and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, and dumplings everything is amazing feel like a king decide to try dessert they have a dessert bar grab some fried ice cream and fortune cookies mfw the fried ice cream is the best thing I've ever tasted crispy outside, cold and creamy inside mind blown leave the restaurant staff thanks me for coming feel like a VIP 10/10 would recommend tell all my friends about it they go and love it too New China Wok becomes our go-to spot every visit is amazing food is always fresh and delicious staff is always friendly and attentive prices are super reasonable can't believe my luck finding this place mfw I realize I've found the holy grail of Chinese food life is good New China Wok forever become a regular staff knows me by name they even give me extra fortune cookies mfw I get the best fortunes one says "You will have a great meal today" no lie detected another says "You will find happiness" already did, it's called New China Wok tfw I realize I'm living my best life all thanks to New China Wok 5 stars, would give more if I could if you haven't been, you're missing out go there...

My wife and I are here, it was after lunch around 1:30pm. Had a good selection of food, it looked good and was hot, our problem was the taste of the food, it wasn't good. Everything we tried didn't taste fresh. After eating we were looking around the walls, they were in bad shape, the place is not being kept up or cleaned as should be. If the dining room where customers eat looks that bad, surly the kitchen where food is being prepared is a disaster. My family nor I will be eating there again. Did not enjoy this visit at all. I do not recommend this...
