Would never recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you enjoy the worst service of your life…. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. The food was decent, but that’s it. The service was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life. I’m not one to complain especially when it comes to bars and restaurants; I worked over a decade in the service industry. I still hold a valid responsible vendors license. Our waitress couldn’t answer simple questions about the drink menu or the kids menu from the moment we sat down. She checked on us maybe 3 times during our almost 2 hour visit due to the slow service. Our food was out within minutes of placing our order so we were so excited to see how the meal would go. We are evacuated from south Louisiana due to Hurricane Ida and everyone, everywhere we go has been so helpful and compassionate to our circumstances. Not this disgusting staff. I ordered food for my disabled mother to go and a margarita with it. After waiting 30 or so minutes, I finally received the drink. Then as we waited another 20+ minutes to pay our $100 check for a family of 4 that includes 2 kids, I asked our waitress why she hadn’t come to get our money. Apparently, you’re supposed to pay on your way out, which no one bothered to tell us. And we weren’t allowed to take a $20 margarita “to-go” after it was ordered and brought to our table. When we asked the manager how we as were supposed to know the rules, he stated that you should ALWAYS check with a manager to see if your waiter gave you the right information. We asked if we could get that statement recorded “Always ask the manager, don’t rely on our servers” If our waitress would have simply told us that we couldn’t get a drink to go, we would have never ordered it. That simple! Never in my life had I had someone not tell me the process for paying a bill. And most definitely, no one has ever avoided questions by a guest. Costumers come first in any...

Mi Casita, the little Mexican restaurante, is a regular ol' haven, tucked away like a secret garden in the heart of town. And wouldn't you know it, it's just a stone's throw from Dabbs.

As I pushed open the door to Mi Casita, I was enveloped in a warm hug of a atmosphere, like walkin' into a cozy little adobe in a Mexican village. The decor was as colorful as a basket full of wildflowers, with vibrant tiles, woven blankets, and twinklin' sombreros hangin' from the ceiling like a festive mobile. The air was thick with the scent of sizzlin' meats and spices, makin' my stomach growl like a bear wakin' from hibernation.

I settled in at a table, feelin' like I was sittin' on the patio of a hacienda, surrounded by the gentle hum of conversation and the clinkin' of glasses. The service was as friendly as a summer breeze, with our server, Maria, treatin' us like long-lost cousins, refillin' our glasses and bringin' out plate after plate of the most mouthwaterin' grub this side of the Rio Grande!

I ordered the carne asada, and I'll be dipped in cow plop if it wasn't the tenderest, most flavorful piece of beef I ever did have! It was like bitin' into a cloud, with the juices drippin' down my chin like a lazy stream on a summer day. And don't even get me started on the sides – the Mexican rice, the refried beans, the grilled veggies... it was like a regular ol' fiesta in my mouth!

Now, I know what you're thinkin': "Is this fella just plain loco, or is Mi Casita really that good?" And I'll tell you, friend, it's the honest truth! This place is the real deal, a little slice of Mexico in the heart of our fair town. So saddle up, partners, and mosey on over to Mi Casita. Your taste buds (and your ailments, if you're so inclined)...

Not receive food order as I asked. Gave plate back to waiter, was still charged for it and force to pay for it at register by manager. Not happy at all with service from waiter. Restaurant was practically empty when we arrived at 1:55pm on Sunday, so not being checked on for refills over 30 min while we were eating was ridiculous. We all had bone dry cups. I ordered chili relleno combo dinner & asked when ordering if it could be cheese only & guy said Yes. I received my plate & took 1st bite to realize the melted cheese was hiding ground meat. I quit eating it. Because guy didn't come around the majority of our dinner I ate chips, salsa, & cheese dip. After refills were finally done I asked about cheese only & he said "I didn't understand". I handed the plate to him & he asked if wanted something else I told him it would take to long since everyone is done. We got our ticket & it still had plate ordered on it. I said something about it & he said it will be taken off at register. Manager entered the ticket in register & I mentioned I returned the plate & he refused to take order off. He said it wasn't being taken off ticket, the menu said under the plate I ordered it had meat. We paid just so we could leave. We won't...

Wanted to try this place out and we were not disappointed. It’s not expensive, the food was delicious, and the service was great. The food came very fast. The portions were a nice size they are not stingy. The atmosphere was really laid back wasn’t noisy so you can have a nice conversation. The flour tortilla chips were really good. You have to ask for those and they are like $4.50 and come with cheese sauce. I got the number 54 and my wife the 55 and they were really good. I think you would enjoy it as a quiet date night or as a nice family dinner spot. Will be going back.

My food was good but they dont give you enough time to look over the menu and decide something waitress kept rushing us and them sitting me next to people that was loud and talking mess didn't please me at all some ppl want to eat in peace. Then they play that aggravating music that makes my head hurt. I get that its a mexican restaurant but really they can change it up. Just to expensive there. The Alamo is the best mexican restaurant in Laurel, Ms. I give this place 3 stars only because my dish was good. I wouldn't recommend this place. I sure won't eat here again.
