Groucho's Deli — Restaurant in Laurens

We sat for 15 minutes watching wait staff walk by, clean empty tables, and bring food to others without ever acknowledging us in any way. I finally got up and asked at the counter if we were supposed to order at the counter. I was assured that someone would be at our table immediately. We waited 10 more minutes and were finally able to get the attention of a waitperson who seemed shocked we would ask her to take our order. This is my new favorite. Superb service, incredibly friendly staff, and the food is just perfect every single time. This is the standard, folks. This is what is possible when you believe in a clean kitchen and you put in the effort to produce great food. It is clear that the customer is the focus and the taste of the food is the goal. I gave this Groucho’s deli a 2 star not because of service or food quality. The fact that this restaurant or any restaurant would charge you for a cup of faucet water is ridiculous. It’s not because of the cost but the principle of it. So are they going to start charging for the use of the restrooms also?? Same water and a lot more than a couple cups served to the customers.
