Fortune Garden — Restaurant in Lawrence Township

This is not a dine in restaurant. This is a hole in the wall place and it is a gem! There is one table with four chairs on your left and three "waiting" chairs on your right. No bathroom. I went on a Friday after stopping at two taco places that were closed. I walked in and saw three men who worked construction. I knew immediately the servings would be big. I went on a Friday and ordered my safest go to: chicken with broccoli and white rice. This was during lunch hour and their special includes your choice of white or fried rice PLUS an option of soup OR soda OR egg roll. I chose the wonton soup. The food was so good! The chicken was tender, the broccoli was crisp, the rice nice and fluffy, and the sauce was...perfect. The dish had just the right amount of sauce to mix with the rice. The broccoli to chicken ratio was spot on, not too much chicken, not too much broccoli. I cannot give the honest opinion of the soup because it's still sitting in my fridge. I ate half that dish at noon and I was full until 6PM! I love it so much I went there again this Monday! I ordered the chicken with garlic sauce and white rice plus an egg roll. The egg roll was dryer than I'm used to, but somehow I liked it better like that. The serving was humongous again and the food steaming hot, fresh, and delicious. You can't beat the price for the lunch...

The woman who answered the phone was highly disrespectful. I called to place my order and asked if the restaurant does split transactions. The lady continued to tell me that my question does not make sense and that she's "busy" and I need to hurry up and place my order. She used a very derogatory tone and insisted that I hurry up. I received my order an hour and a half later, only to find out they delivered the wrong food. I called back and she said the delivery man would come back, but asked me to walk halfway across campus to meet him because he did not want to drive to my residence hall. With this being said, I will not be going to this restaurant ever again. It was my first and last time. I suggest they change their service before losing...

Normally the food is really good, today I ordered a lunch special with shrimp and broccoli and a shrimp roll. The Shrimp and Broccoli was delicious, the shrimp roll was spoiled. I called the restaurant and lady could not believe that the shrimp roll was spoiled. Even the smell of it was strong spoiled smell. I took it back and she replaced it, this one was ok, but had a faint spoil smell, I called her back and she act like I was lying, I don’t like that fast talking and saying that no one else had an issue. Maybe they just threw it in the garbage. I asked her if she smelled the other shrimp roll I returned, she didn’t respond. I’m not patronizing these...
