La Taqueria — Restaurant in Lawrence Township

when I was trying to place my order at the counter, the lady didn’t seem to know her menu even though I made it clear I wanted “ enchiladas de mole”. Everything is overpriced as you can see on the receipt. I didn’t order the San Pellegrino but a sweet tea and pretty sure the sweet tea is cheaper than the San Pellegrino. Also a kid’s meal for 13$? My son’s chicken was dry and over cooked, my enchiladas de mole did not taste good at all, and was way too watery. It lacked flavor and seasoning. The mole sauce tasted like old/burned. After the lady dropped off our food, she never came back to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. Also their horchata isn’t good and barely tastes like horchata. The red rice was also not good, again, it lacked seasoning and tasted off. Both my son and I, were really disappointed, this is not real authentic mexican food and I went to tex-mex that were even closer to authentic mexican food. I hesitate to leave negative reviews as this is a small business, but transparency is key in accountability.

I’ve ordered from this place three times: 1- The first time the meal was canceled mins before arriving for pick up because they did not have the complete order. 2- The second time, upon arriving the team looked puzzled at my order. Someone walks in with my order, they took it and passed it to me. Basically they gave my order to someone else and without checking for quality just passed it to me. How do I verify they didn’t do something to it once arriving at home?

Now this is the breaking point.

3- I ordered a few things only to realized I am paying almost a dollar for a brown paper bag and almost $6 for this piece of plan. Yes, that flan was untouched, but one would think they would serve an entire piece. Look at the picture!

Sad to say but the only option is to go less than a block away to El Sabor Oaxaqueno.

They trick u with the order and rob your money be VERYYYYY CAREFUL!!! I had good tacos only once and now I had to edit this review. Firstly the sauce u give it with tacos is free why did u charge me for that ? Also the shrimp taco I had last time was way different then now y the shrimp is stale ? And then coming to the point of paper bag y are u charging me for that ? And y are u even giving me one ? I dint ask u for paper bag or plastic bag !
