Cascada La Golondrina — Restaurant in Lawrence

f you're looking for an excellent Mexican restaurant with plenty of parking, Cascada La Golondrina is definitely worth a visit. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and has a simple, understated interior that lets the food take center stage.

The service at Cascada La Golondrina is top-notch. The staff is incredibly attentive and goes out of their way to make sure you have an excellent dining experience. And speaking of the food, it's truly outstanding. We ordered the Mexicano burrito, chicken taquitos, and grilled chicken salad, and each dish was expertly prepared and presented in a traditional manner.

One of the highlights of our visit was the two-for-one margaritas. They were the perfect accompaniment to our meal and made for a fun and festive evening.

Finally, the prices at Cascada La Golondrina are amazing, and the portions are very generous. You won't find a better value anywhere else. Overall, I highly recommend Cascade la Golondrina Mexican restaurant. It's the perfect place to enjoy delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Five stars...

The food was terrible, but the service was even worse if that’s possible soggy Undercooked grey chicken. My waitress spoke to my wife, as if she was stupid for asking a simple question. All my wife asked was whether they used shredded chicken or not. And when I told an employee about our experience with our waitress, they all and I mean every single waiter/waitress stood around while I was trying to talk. The waitress snatched the check out of my wife’s hand claiming she made a mistake on our check and then charged extra for cheese. We didn’t know. Extra because no one told us keep in mind this was cheese that it also been provided to us when we walked in. It was the queso dip for the chips. This was our first time there and this will be our last spent $30 on nothing. They surrounded me as I was writing out my tip to the waitress keep in mind. I had wrote out the tip after I complained about her, so I decided to give no tip because I tip based on service and I was given terrible Service. I usually take very well and have never tipped zero dollars...

Had a couple margaritas, espinaca dip and their molcajete! What a meal and a huge, huge treat! My food definitely came out hot and delicious. The decor as nice and festive and the TV had the game one, which I always appreciate. The servers were prompt to greet and certainly attentive tableside. Everyone I saw was wearing masks and hand sanitizer was clearly available. I thought my experience was very pleasant and I'm going back soon for sure. When I finally wrapped up my bountiful late lunch, I saw on the bill that my margaritas were only .99 cents, for what was happy hour! I am rooting for these folks to stick around for a while! I'll say that my only critique might be that I would have had a little more salt in the salsa. :) But everyone's tastes are different in that department and salt was...
