Cleo and Leo on Elm Street — Restaurant in Lawrence

This place is super cute and has great coffee! We don’t actually live in town anymore but we were able to stop by during a visit, and we’re so glad we did. It was so warm inside, which was a welcome delight after being outside. The decor and atmosphere is inviting and warm, and I totally love the mosaic sign and flowers on the tables. Adds such a home-y feel! The coffee was incredible, such great espresso and the latte art was top tier. Coffee came out quickly and we couldn’t get enough! The pastries were also very good, and they even warmed up our cinnamon roll! This spot is a total haven for those who adore all things cozy with an awesome playlist and plenty of treats to try. The truly only thing that was a negative was the cactus in the corner near the soft chairs. Love the cactus itself but my partner immediately pricked himself on it after sitting down, but he’s also a bit of a dunce sometimes so take that with a grain of salt. Would definitely recommend!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars!! This coffee shop is an absolute gem! I love so much about it - from the delicious handcrafted coffee drinks, fresh and oh-so-delicious baked pastries, to the beautiful Mexican inspired decor. The staff is wonderful and it always makes my day to visit!

Every latte I've tried has been so good (vanilla, mocha, dulce de leche). They also make their syrups in house which gives them such an authentic flavor. Some of my favorite pastries include the delicious fresh-baked cinnamon rolls, cookies, and Mexican inspired Conchas.

If you've never been, go! It's truly one of the BEST in Lawrence. And snap a pic in front of the mural wall outside...

I really wanted to rate this higher but just can't. Gave this place 4 tries before finally deciding to review. The baked goods are a hit and miss. The service is barely there. No greeting or thanks for coming, see you later. The person who brought my coffee spilled it and didnt offer to make more so I just had less coffee for same price. Coffee itself was lukewarm? Like how does that happen. Cinnimon roll was ok. Mexican chocolate cookie is real good. What I like is the atmosphere- super cute and cozy in there!...
