Addition to comment (4-8-22): I'd like to add an update to this review after the owner stepped in and truly did all he could to make it right and I commend him for it. He addressed the issue right away by immediately posting a reply to the review. He then continued to correspond with me through email, genuinely interested in detailed feedback. I thought it was important that potential customers know this before reading the comment, which I do still believe should stay up. I can't tell you whether they've improved or not but I can see that the ownership is making an effort. ORIGINAL COMMENT: The lack of concern for hygiene by an employee at this location really bothered me when I noticed her chewing over my food at my visit earlier tonight. The manager there greeted me as soon as I came in and quickly asked about my order, which was nice, but that was the end of my positive experience. After being told it would be 3 min, it was well after 5 min when I noticed they were opening and closing all the waiting boxes of food and trying to re-organize my order and others' orders. Another woman working there was eating while she was checking these boxes and I noticed that she was opening one of my boxes while eating something directly over it. I spoke up and asked if she could not eat over the open box of my food. That would be a problem normally but during a pandemic, something dropping on my food directly from a stranger's mouth is absolutely disgusting and dangerously negligent. And I know what it's like on the other side of the other side of that counter , having worked at 3 different Domino's myself. To compound the problem, she didn't apologize, she didn't even show a concerned look. She just seemed annoyed and simply pushed the open box a little further away from her and then looked away. The manager was certainly in ear shot and said nothing. I really couldn't believe it. I do appreciate the service from food workers and, with low staffing during this economy, I always try to reward great service with tips and positive reviews. But I also feel compelled to do the same in the...
Read moreWanted to celebrate / break 'A Successful Diet' - after shopping excursion - wherein couldn't find a Pizza Place open around 10 in Salem, NH. That's avoiding fancier sit-down places which may have had pizza as a choice.
Speed and no noisy crowd, etc. was desired! EARLIER, I had passed the Domino's on the Way North along route 28, so when other pizza joints in Methuen and North Lawrence along 28 we're also coming up closed🤬, I would assay a chain biz🤔, which I tend to avoid.😉
Googled the phone number for Domino's, and called ahead🤨 after pulling off to the side out of traffic.
Had a bit of trouble with their computerized order taking system. IT kept trying to turn A meat lovers Pizza Plus added mushrooms, into JUST a mushroom pizza!
As an ALEXA OWNER, and computer engineer wise to ways voice requests get screwed up, I tried different ways. After four different ways of stating the order I demanded an operator.
It took a while for someone to answer, so much so that I pulled the car back onto the road, figuring I could give my order in person, if nothing else.🤨😲 The guy answered about halfway there, say five minutes into the call!🙄🤨
I stated the trouble and that I wanted a DRIVE BY PICK UP, and that I estimated I was 3 to 4 minutes out. I was spot-on about that, and when I went inside they pulled the pizza out of the oven about 5 minutes later. Was a pretty good medium pizza. First non-cauliflower crust commercially made pizza I've had in 2-2.5 years or so. And seventy pounds now later! 😲😁😉 Blame it on the business trip my wife took off on...
Read moreI ordered at 10:22pm online for delivery to a well known area. At 11:05 the driver calls in the wrong spot and I provide very precise details. 11:20 has the driver again in the wrong spot. He says he will go back to the store to figure it out. I call the store and the guy says that this location doesn’t deliver to Methuen. I apologize and hang up. Double checking it was this store, I called back, now at 11:30. I asked for the pizza and a refund due to how late and cold it would be. I was told I could have one but not the other. I chose refund. Wanting to give them another chance and still very hungry lose to midnight, we tried again. My coworker then placed our order online again under her name, but called to confirm it could be delivered. It arrived barely 15 minutes later. The driver handed it to her from his trunk, without a heat bag or any form of contaminant protectant or temperature control. It was cold and rock-solid. It was very obviously the first pizza from well near 1.5 hours earlier. She called and spoke to the same guy I did, stating exactly that and was not met with any form of apology or explanation. She requested a refund and was merely told okay.
I used to be a shift leader at a pizza place for a few years and understand what a rough night can be like. However, I also know that allowing this to occur is disgusting and absurd. Dominos should be absolutely ashamed of their gross, unsanitary, and...
