Pizza Shuttle — Restaurant in Lawrence

I just ordered delivery and it sounded like the guy on the phone was not happy he was there, honestly no one likes working, that is ok. I get my delivery honestly really fast, super nice since they are usually super busy, maybe 20 minutes max. But then we saw our three-fer came with 2 drinks and one of the pizzas are made wrong. (Not a huge deal) I honestly order here every other weekend so I thought maybe we could get a coupon for the next time we call in. I am not a confrontational person and I just wanted to see if we could make this right. I call in a nice guy answers. He then goes silent and then a guy name Taylor (said he was a manager) got on the phone and said “I don’t know why I was handed a phone…” I then try to continue about getting a refund or coupon because I don’t need an extra pizza. He then said “oh, the order a repeated 3 times to you and you didn’t correct?” Probably not the exact wording, but just as aggressive. I then try to calm him down and explain I just wanted a refund/coupon for the missing drink and wrong pizza, he then continued to speak over me, and hung up. He was saying that they are making a new pizza and it will be here soon. After that I don’t think the pizza will be safe to eat. (I’ve worked in food) I call back with little hesitation to tell him that I do not need the pizza re-delivered and I am ok. Honestly I would like to speak to a different manager at this point. I call back asking for someone else than Taylor. He still was put on the phone. I explain that I was just on the phone with him and I would not need the pizza delivered. He then said “oh, we spoke like 25 minutes ago, the pizza is already in the oven and should be heading to you soon” it has only been 2 minutes between the 2 calls… he also said “I am sorry if you think I hung up on you”…I told him I was uncomfortable at this point and he then regurgitates the regular manager come back “I am sorry you feel that way” (which can go hard if I the manager isn’t bad at their job) the purpose of the second call was just to make sure there wasn’t a fourth pizza being delivered here, and I was ignored again. Honestly I never left a review before, let alone a bad one. I hope this gets to the right people. I do plan to call in the morning and hopefully I could be treated more professionally. I just called in the morning after and spoke with Emma the morning manager, and she was amazing! Told me she will be giving me a refund/discount that I asked for the first time! She was so nice and sympathetic and she deserves a raise!!! This is how a professional woman shows her power, truly a bigger person. I hope Taylor learns his lesson or even losses his job. (A little extreme, but that is how I feel) Emma turned this one start experience into a five star review, I will be coming back as long as never speak to Taylor again....

took my girlfriend and her son -- a prospective KU student -- there today as my version of a KU recruiting trip. gf had the cheeseburger shuttle and was amazed how good it was (she'd been skeptical every time I mentioned it). I'd told her that was the only pie from PS that I ever ate in college. her son had the all meat pizza and loved it.

PS is the best pizza in LFK by far, and it's amazingly priced. perfect college student food, and definitely budget friendly for families, too. 10" start at $5 for the walk-in special, up to the mid-teens for 14". sodas (16 and 32 oz.) are priced more than competitively against their competitors at $.75 and $1.25 respectively. easy for a person to eat for under $10 and have breakfast leftovers. the three of us totaled out at just over $24 including tax for 3 10" and 3 large sodas.

delivery tip from my college experience 20 years ago: don't ask for no ice in your drink, especially if it's the large drink. their drivers really don't like soda all over their cars. (he got an extra large tip that night.)

now, if I could just convince them to meet me halfway between Lawrence and Topeka for...

I USED to order pizza shuttle all the time despite their hit and miss customer service because the food is cheap. Not good, just cheap. One paricular time I was running late to pick up and one of the pizza makers decided to heckle, chide, and CALL ME NAMES loudly in front of everyone in the store for showing up late to pick up my pizza. I said nothing to him just stared in horror as he went on to make fun of even my shoes and call me retarded. The other workers just stood around and watched. One tried to hush him. I purchased the cold pizza anyway out of shame but regret this because in the past I've waited over 1.5hrs for a pizza delivery from this company and never devolved into such unprofessional, classless behavior. No customer desrves to be treated this horribly. I tried calling the manager but never got a call back. I will never come here again.

Edit 4/11/17: this incident was in 2012 but nothing has changed w/ PS to this day and their crappy, non-existant customer service. Further, by your response in which you essentially are calling me a liar, i can see that management is...
