Took my Samsung A13 in that was under warranty. It was stuck in a restart loop. After it had loaded, I would enter my unlock PIN, and after a short starting device note on screen, it would immediately restart itself. I took it to UbreakIFix from the recommendation of Samsung support. I live in Topeka, so I had to commute to Lawrnece. After about 2 hours. they call saying they can't fix it and that it needs to be sent into Samsung for factory reset. I head back to the store after enjoying L-Town and Mass for a bit. When I arrive, the phone no longer tries to boot at all, stuck in an error message. Also, my OtterBox case had a new chip broken off the corner of the plastic part that was not there upon drop off. Overall my experience was very sour and I would hate to have to do business with that store in the future and would not recommend to others, but it's the only Samsung warranty repair store in the area. The staff wasn't horrible but not too friendly either and didn't even acknowledge the broken case, or apologize for making my situation worse. Should have mailed the device into Samsung in the beginning...

Really good place to get a phone fixed in a pinch. Only issue I had was I came in right at open, was first in the queue and it still took 3 hours to repair my phone. When I repaired phone if it took me more than an hour and a half the customer would not be happy. I am only docking one star for this as it was only a minor inconvenience. All in all a great place to go, and the prices are great. It was 30 bucks cheaper to have them fix it then to order the part and wait for it, plus they back their work as well. Give them a try it's cheaper to repair then to replace in alot of cases.

Simply put, a shame.

I dropped my phone off for a screen replacement Saturday at 11am, was told they couldn't guarantee I'd have it back the same day, but guaranteed I would have it back Sunday. They also stated if there were any issues they'd give me a call via a different number I provided. Sunday at 2:30 I called the store for a status update in which I was informed that I would need a new device; for this circumstance, I would be overnighted a brand new device by my insurance carrier, which will result in my phone being here on Tuesday. The store manager, Chris, informed me that his staff should have reached out to me on Saturday when they first discovered the issue was more than what a screen replacement could fix (some internal thermal issue), but he was very apologetic that they hadn't. If I had not called them, would they have even tried to contact me? And if so, when? Had they called on Saturday, I would have been able to reach out to my insurance carrier and had a phone on or by Monday. I know 1 day difference doesn't seem like much, but I travel to and from work (1-hr each way) with my young child, in the dark, on back roads, and I'm in my third trimester, having a working cell is necessary for safety precautions.

What bums me out the most is when I dropped off my device w/ Matt on Saturday, him and I had a good conversation and I left the store on good terms with him. I aim to be pleasant upon all customer service exchanges for several reasons; in this circumstance, when your device isn't able to be repaired you're more likely to be treated with respect. A lack of communication is a quick and easy way to disrespect any person.

In the future, I will find a different UBreakiFix store...

Called for a quote to replace a pixel 4 screen the guy I talked to was apparently their call center and not the associates at the store they quoted me $200 and a 2 hour repair. I agreed and set up an appointment for 10am Saturday. I promptly brought the phone in Saturday morning at 10am when I talked to the associate they told me it would be $300 and 4-5 hours for a repair. I hesitated because and explained what I was quoted they didn't seem to care much and just blamed the call center was told that price wasn't negotiable. I agreed to give it a shot they said they would call me. I waited until 5pm that day decided to call for an update and it just rang busy. I looked up the update on their online update tracker and I got a message saying my phone was ready but not repairable. I drove over to the store and find out they could not in fact fix it and somehow it got worse now my side buttons don't work I wasn't charged any amount, I left the store with a phone in worse shape than when it showed up because they couldn't even get the screen to work while I was there and stated it may have reset itself. The only positive here is I was able to get my screen to come up after tinkering with it for a bit and will receive a refurbished phone from swappa for about $120 less than what I was going to pay if they had fixed it. Glad I was able to get it semi working about 2 mins after I left their shop. Wasted some gas money back and forth but definitely a learning experience for me. Won't be going back for any reason after that. 7 hours no updates and unable to call them because their voip...

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with uBreakiFix recently. I own a Galaxy S9+. One day, I was mowing on my riding lawnmower, listening to music on my headphones, when they became snagged on the branch of a low-hanging tree and were ripped out of my phone's jack. I attempted to plug it back in, but it wouldn't snap back in place, so I assumed I broke something in my phone. My warranty being expired, and I had Verizon insurance, but the insurance company said they wouldn't be able to fix the jack and would have to replace the whole phone, which would have cost $199! Looking for a different option, I remembered my pastor's wife had said that she'd had a good experience with uBreakiFix in Lawrence, KS, so I headed there. I explained what happened, and one technician took a look at my phone, trying to see the issue. He had another technician look with him, and the second gentlemen decided to get a thin pair of tweezers and reach down in there. He gently scraped about a bit, turned the phone over, and a bunch of dirt dumped out! And shucky-darn, look at that--my headphones now plug in! And here I thought I broke something! I asked what I owed them, and they said, "No charge, just leave us a good Google review". So here it is, boys! These guys were super nice and very helpful, and for them to actually handle my problem without thinking to scam me as others might do goes a long way with me. Highly recommended, and a great experience. I will be back in a jiffy for my phone issues...
