A few months ago I shared a very pore review as I had bit into my hash Browns almost getting choked on one of those plastic square bread bag ties, as well as their handling my $40 order full of problems, the one above was just one of several issues. Then I received (after telling them I would never likely go back again) a gift card for, yah you guessed it Bob Evans. I then updated my review as the card was only for 25% of the issue and the apology card that they probably buy by the thousands had no personal touch. Even if it just said I'm sorry, I hope you will give us another chance, sincerely Bob (made up name) which frustrated me as my meal alone (the one that was the most messed up cost more than $10. So I followed up on that review complaining how they didn't even hear what I said was wrong they just flip a $10 card in the mail all done. However after that add-on to my review someone realized after almost choking on something that isn't supposed to be there that I was scared to go back. And they actually sent me a check for the amount of the meal (still no personal touch and as im sure with as many stores as you have that your quite busy, but if you just took 1-2 mins to add a personal touch to the card it would make your customers feel like their appreciated, which is the only reason I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 now. As after awhile I used the Bob Evans gift cards and gave them another shot. The food was perfect, and since I felt they truly tried to fix it and with their gift cards everything I got was great that I went back an additional time and spent a little over the amount of the check. I figured since they finally made it right and the food was good that I'd put the money right back into Bob Evans. Thank you to Bob Evens for correcting the issue, and also maybe consider a little couple words and sign a first name when sending those gift cards out in my opinion people are more likely to trust you and give you another chance when they feel like you care about...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars… I have had several issues here, missing rolls or sides often but the food is decent so I returned. Never again. I ordered ahead for a HOT Thanksgiving dinner since I had to work the day of. I ordered a hot meal, which the price was upscaled for a hot meal vs the cold meal I assume because of the holiday. I ordered it hot so that my mom could eat while I was at work. They said “no problem, pick up any time after 1pm” I had my brother take my mom down to picked it up since again I was at work. They said that they cooked the meal yesterday and it sat for pickup since then, BUT DON’T WORRY BECAUSE BEFORE WE CLOSED LAST NIGHT WE PUT IT IN THE FREEZER” why just why would you “cook” (using that term loosely ) a meal the day before its set for pickup , leave it out all day THEN put it in the freezer? no attempt to even reheat it and cover it up, just hand it over now frozen and no attempt to fix the situation? I paid $105 for a HOT meal, it was cheaper to get a cold meal but I was still charged for a hot meal. To make it worse, I could have ordered a regular meal, hot, for $40-$60 but because it was marketed for thanksgiving and already hot I thought I was choosing the “easier for all involved, happy holidays” bs?...
Read moreWe have given this Bob Evans 3 chances and have been disappointed each time. The service is hit and miss. The 1st two times the service was awful. This time (June 9th 2018) the waitress was actually good. That being said however the silverware was filthy and I actually had to ask the waitress THREE times for new silverware as it had caked on food on it. Then my drink had something in it. After waiting for about half an hour the food was finally served but it was not even WARM. It was also tasteless. The floor was filthy as were all the tables and booths surrounding us it was so bad we actually had to move tables. All the other servers besides ours were standing around doing nothing and talking and/Or playing on their phones. We went to pay after eating an awful meal and the cashier asked how our meal was and I replied with "awful" only to receive a rude look and no reply. After complaining all the times that I had to I still had to pay 30 dollars for an awful meal. I should have just went to McDonald's even that would have been a way better meal and a lot cheaper!!!!! Save yourself the complaints and your money and DO NOT eat here. Go somewhere else...
