Wish I could give a negative 100 stars rating!!! We came here for our anniversary dinner. Searched online, looked at reviews and the menu…it all LOOKED amazing, but NO! Let’s start with the atmosphere: dirty, and not all all Japanese looking. Restrooms were filthy, and the staff didn’t really care what they looked like. I totally felt like we were just sitting at a bar drinking a beer…not sitting at an expensive restaurant! The food: EEEEEW! Starting out, the onion soup was like sink water. The salad had a bunch of black, rotten pieces in it. And the “shrimp appetizer” was literally 3 pieces of shrimp thrown in with the WAY overpriced “hibachi” meal. I was excited about having sushi (it’s been a long time), but when it came out it was discolored and quite gross! 🤮 I ended up sending my sushi back, and told her to remove it from our bill. I was told they had a new vendor, and that the “chef” had tasted it…then told me they were going rid of all their fish! I could’ve gotten very sick! I ended up sharing the meal my guy ordered…cuz I was starving! This was the absolute WORST anniversary dinner in the history of anniversaries! I tried to like it, even with the horrible atmosphere, but it was awful! I hate that we still paid $40 for his dinner! They need to close! DO NOT GO HERE, unless you want to get...
Read moreI am visiting from Georgia with my family and we were excited to dine here for my mother's birthday. We called ahead and asked if we needed to make a reservation because we came as a group. I was told that they were not taking reservations because they only had one cook. I asked about the wait time and she said it may be longer than 30 minutes but since we were coming earlier we should be able to be seated and of course would just have to wait. When we arrived the hostess told us we needed a reservation and could not be seated. I informed her that we called ahead and were told it would be a longer wait time and that we didn't need a reservation. She stated she would have someone else come talk to us, but of course, it would be to tell us the same exact thing. We decided to leave because a couple came in after us and were seated. This leaves 2 options. Either they did not want us there due to skintone or our party was too large to accommodate. I have to unfortunately lean to the first because if they could not accommodate, then they would...
Read moreMy husband and I went to Sakura in Lawrenceburg Indiana, August 16 for my husband‘s birthday! We had a Sakura down by Us on the west side of town and it closed down so we decided to drive from Cincinnati to Lawrenceburg Indiana. We have never had a bad meal at the Sakura on Rybolt Road. However, the Sakura in Lawrenceburg, Indiana was terrible! My husband ordered scallops and fillet and he got nothing but burnt shrimp. Everyone’s shrimp tasted burnt however no one said anything, trying to be nice because they were very busy. However, our chef was in too big of a hurry and had the grill up way too high and everything tasted burnt. When the waitress brought our bill over and we told her about the mishap, she said oh sorry I will take one of your fried shrimps for 575 off? His meal was over $40 and we should’ve been credited the whole $40 however she seemed to disagree and charged him $30 for the shrimp hibachi meal. Which is not even what he ordered. This place is terrible. I would...
