Usually my experience here is great. I have been going here for 10 years for all my automotive needs. However, my most recent experience was very disappointing. I dropped off a car battery to be charged and tested which takes roughly 1 1/2 hours depending on the current charge of the battery. I called down to check and was told the battery did not hold a charge and was no good. So I went down to purchase a new battery and upon entering I noticed the battery was on the exact place I left it when I originally dropped it off. After a few questions it was evident that the battery didn't even make it to the charger and whoever I spoke with on the phone would not have been able to give me an answer on the status of the battery because it was unable to be properly tested without a full charge. So, I had to wait another hour and when I called back the employee said that the battery was good and held the charge. Needless to say I installed the battery and hit the road only to be stranded once I turned the car off and tried to restart it. Read moreStopped at AutoZone this morning to get new headlight bulb. The lady at the counter helped me pick one out and then she asked the man next to her if he could install it, as I did request that. He was an older man with grey hair his response was , depends , I am not taking out the battery. I let him know the other one went out 6 months ago and another guy there installed it with no problems, I did not hear a response . The lady helping me then turned to a gentleman named Jim and ask him to do it. He did not hesitate as he said, of course I will. He had it installed in a matter of minutes. I thanked him for being so pleasant and that I really appreciate his assistance. His response was the next time you come back you can say Jim helped me out and you can ask for me again. I told him I would certainty do that. ...
Read moreThis morning on my way to work I stopped at AutoZone to order an oxygen sensor, I spoke with Ralph and was told it would be there by 2:00. On my way home from work I returned to AutoZone and spoke with Ralph again. Ralph informed me that the oxygen sensor had arrived but they were unable to locate it in the store. After waiting 15 minutes for Ralph and the AutoZone staff to find my part, I left. I usually avoid AutoZone because of there gross incompetence, but I figured if I went in with a part number that they couldn't possibly screw it up. I was wrong. Do yourself a favor and order your parts from an online retailer, it will save you a lot of aggravation and a...
