What better way to celebrate Mother's Day than endless meats?? We had never been to Picanha's before, but we love Brazilian Steakhouses, so figured we would give it a shot. When we got there, parking was a bit of a mess, and we had the valet park our car. It was a free service, working off tips. They seated us right away, and the waitress was quick to come around, introduce herself, and let us know the options.
The most important part of the review is usually the food, so let's start with the meats! Very good, well-seasoned, and most of it was cooked wonderfully. The short ribs were undercooked (medium rare was more rare), and the lambchops were well-done. Even the grilled pineapples were delicious! The Market Table had plenty to offer, although not as much as another big-name national chain. For what it was, we were happy with what we saw.
Here are my problems with the restaurant. It was too warm in there. We all know keeping the temperature up reduces appetite, which give an unfair advantage to the restaurant, especially when you're charging $56.95 per person. It was hard for me to eat everything I wanted. Another thing I noticed was the really good meats (filet mignon and lamb) were rare to see, with picanha, garlic steak, and pork sausage making several rounds. It was also very spread out, giving you more time to get full before the next meat comes around. This may be more because it's a smaller restaurant with smaller staff, but I felt like I had to proactively ask for the meats I wanted. Doesn't that eliminate the purpose of having the guys walk around?
Here's the worst part for me. I asked for two Caipirinhas to celebrate Mother's Day. On the menu, it says $11 each. It also says the flavors available are original lime, passion fruit, and strawberry. There are no additional prices for that drink listed on the menu. When I got my check, each drink was $11.75, but the flavors we got (strawberry for one, passion fruit for the other) were $5.55 each! These are small glasses of cocktails, and they are charging over $5 for flavoring? And that's on top of already paying $57 a person.
I don't mind paying for good food, good service, and good drinks. I get a little heated when I feel a restaurant is not playing fair, and hiding additional charges. Everything cost more than what I saw on their online menu. After this experience, if we want to visit a Brazilian Steakhouse, it won't...
Read moreI do not know where to start. Place is nice and clean. Although I have read the reviews and kinda doubted because of the reviews. We still went. We were debating to go to fogo De chao or passador or picanha. But Fogo de chao is never our go to even in Texas. So either passador or picanha. Found another place called rio steakhouse and bakery where it’s affordable but we saw how they served the steak and thought their price might not satisfy our cravings with the Brazilian meat we are used to. So we ended up here in picanha steakhouse where we expect a good quality meat where they slice it in front of you and very hot.
I still should have trusted my gut when I saw that no body is there eating. Only a table of four on a Friday night 830. The salad is mediocre. Not much choices. We have been to multiple Brazilian Steak house and this is not what we expect. The meat is dry. After eating salad we waited 10 mins at least to be served our meat. It was picanha. It was already pre cut on a serving wood plate almost well done. The meat was cold and doesn’t taste appealing. I didn’t get to finish it as I was not satisfied and already losing my appetite. I was waiting for more meat to come and I see one of the staff looking at our table to see if I’m finish with the meat. Unreal. Keep all the meat coming without me asking because that’s how all Brazillian restaurant i have been to and prices are the same. So I know what to expect. If I’m getting charged 60$ I better get a good quality meat. My wife enjoyed her lobster bisque though. It’s close to Texas De Brazil we’ve been to. If you ever go to chama gaucha and brasao in Texas. They have freshly grilled cheese and grilled pineapple in a skewer, big meat with cheese in the middle in a skewer also and slice it fresh and hot in front of u.
Lobster For bisque soup Texas de Brazil Make sure to visit. It’s one of our go to. We go atleast twice a month there. They will pull up the chair for you, put napkins on your lap, take your bag to where you can hang it close beside you. Give you a clean plate for your steak once you’re finish with your salad and replace your plate once it’s dirty And the meat keeps coming once you flip your card green. We just ended up going to Texas road house as I’d get...
Read moreUpdate: May 18, 2025- I was in a "food coma" Wednesday evening, after dining out and enjoying a mid-week #datenight with my husband., Tommy. I so badly wanted to post a review that night and make it known what a great experience we had, but my eyes fell heavy and my fingers were in no mood to type out my thoughts. After eating a plethora of good food, I was beyond full and only had enough energy to shower, change into my PJ's, and climb into bed. Now, I am going through my photos and trying to play "catch-up". I have to purge my digital photo albums and free up some phone space. Dinner at Picanha Brazilian Steakhouse began around 6:15pm, and we stayed until 7:30'ish. It's all-you-can-eat salad and sides bar combined with unlimited meats on the skewers for $49.99 per person. I forgot to take a picture of the food bar, but it had offerings of lobster bisque, baked salmon smothered in a delicious cream sauce, steamed rice, black beans, mussels, various pasta salads, potato salad , roasted asparagus, beet salad, caprese salad, fresh fruits, deli cheese slices, charcuterie-style meat slices (salami, pepperoni, prosciutto), crackers and more. The skewer meats included picanha steak, loin steak, pork sausages, and lamb shank. There was no chicken presented while we were there. However, there was a delicious cinnamon-sugar coated grilled pineapple served off the skewer that was brought around to the table near the end of our time there. Service was excellent, and the environment was lovely looking with warm, welcoming vibe. There was a family group present, celebrating an 80th birthday, and they had a blast. It was nice to see how well that family was taken care of, yet no one else dining there was neglected. I recommend you give them a try. It was my 2nd visit here within the year, and they are expanding/ improving for the better. There is a live DJ and dancing until 2AM on weekends!!! ‐-----------‐‐----------------------------------------------- I loved the Wednesday meal deal..."Ultimate Experience" for $39.99. Everything was very...
