Update update, still having open hours issues, but damn the breakfast sandwiches and donuts are shamefully good. Somehow this is a good thing. If they were always open all of us would be diabetic. Can't eat donuts and croissant sandwiches everyday. It is what it is. However, if you're going to blow your calorie day Ray's the place to go. I have figured out that if you call and it goes to voicemail they are definitely closed. If Mr Chang picks up or the woman in the kitchen picks up place an order or just head over. Just consider yourself lucky when you catch them open. You will get some food and donuts and be grateful for it. Its one of those "you didn't expect it to be this good" kinda moment. Update: Still the best shop in the area, when they are open. Best breakfast sandwiches when they are open. Best donuts when they are open. Problem is they are not open often and very irregular now.
Rarely give anyone 5 stars because nothing is perfect. But the hype here is real. Tried most of the donuts Top notch all the time. However in my humble opinion the croissant sausage & egg, breakfast burrito is next level ALWAYS fresh and hot made to order. The sausage they use is very meaty not greasy. So be prepared to wait 5mins or so. It's hard to find a good cake style donut but Ray's does not disappoint. I've tried apple fritters from midtown atl to most of the grocery stores around the Snellville Lawrenceville area. Ray's are easily the best. Again the great reviews you see are real. Give it shot. But come early if you are craving something specific they run out quickly. You can call ahead and ask that they save you something as well. I saw comments about decor and location. Neither out weigh the quality...
Read moreOne of the best donuts I've had seems like it was made the old-fashioned way it was a little bit crispy very soft on the inside! You definitely have to try these donuts! Amazon!.... So I'm adding on to this review the donuts are quite amazing but I've came here about eight times probably within the last post that I made and out of the eight times I came here during business hours and either the donuts are sold out or nobody's there during business hours that would be my only negative and I have been trying to call there so I don't have to drive there and waste gas money and my time...hen be sold out or not open so I've been trying to call but nobody ever answers the phone there for some reasonthe guy who owner is very sweet to the customers... I really did not want to communicate this but I have no way to get in touch with him I would have liked to talk to him over the phone or even in person but I have not been able to be at the store during this business hours because they're usually always closedI don't know...
Read moreAbout 2 years ago I was in the back of a taxi passing by this location and the cab driver said "hey, that place has some really good doughnuts". My Wife and I finally visited Ray's yesterday and my only regret is that we didn't go here sooner! First impression was the gentleman behind the counter. He was completely friendly and welcoming with a great smile and personality - how refreshing. The doughnut selection was of a terrific variety, fresh and appealingly displayed. We purchased a dozen assorted and have since sampled some of each one. Wow! Every doughnut is light, has great glaze and the filled ones are done so to bursting with delicious filling. To say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Ray's Doughnuts will now be one of our regular stops. They beat DD and KK by a mile, we will now pass those two to go to Ray's! Highest recommendation to anyone looking for a...
