Legit and tasty. Prices might seem high but don't forget that Korean places have to cover a variety of side dishes. I agree with other reviewers that the mackeral was a treat: it has a strong fish flavor but was perfectly prepared with crispy outside and soft fleshy inside. Had the seafood tofu soup whcih was another treat. Not too spicy but not meek, the broth was full of flavor and the squid bits not overcooked. All the side dishes had distinctly different textures and flavors that magically all go together in some weird Korean food voodoo. This is better than most other 'lunch time' places I've been to and will be memorable for me. I'll use the kimchi as th final descriptor: not overly spicy, not pickeld to death, crispy but not hard describes the rest of the mainstream and familiar fare I had dinner. Not trying for 'newness' but a slam dunk in taste...
Read moreAmazing service, FANTASTIC food. Definitely not the greatest atmosphere inside, but that's just a testament to the food - you won't care at all. Not such a big deal, but a consideration for families. Some of the hits on the menu include their Japchae (served as an appetizer,) fried dumplings, bibimbap and dolsatbap, any number of their delicious and hearty soups, and of course, every variety of their bulgolgi! This is a wonderful restaurant with sweet staff and swift service, and every time I go it is FULL of Koreans (an indication of quality in my opinion.)...
Read moreWe've visited the area twice, and eaten here twice. The food is fantastic! Good sized servings, reasonable prices, and the taste, ohmigoodness. We could dine happy on the sides alone. Friendly service; each time our server was very helpful in explaining menu items and things we did not recognize or remember. Our orders came out quickly, even when we ordered our own mini buffet to introduce family to all the foods. And for those who complain about the service, that their server never came over for refills, remember this is authentic Korean: you need to call out "yeogioh," wave and they will attend you. For me, the only thing missing is the after meal Maxim. This is just as good as dining in Korea, without the jet lag...
