Soft serve icecream was great! Probably the best I've had in the hills. I'll definitely be back. They serve food like burgers and dogs etc. But this visit I did not get to try them.
I know this place is new so I still gave 4 stars as they iron out the wrinkles. But I ordered a soft cone and had to wait 15+ mins for it when the lady behind the register could have just turned and made it for me as I was the last in line. Instead I had to wait while sundays after banana splits we're being made. The staff seemed tired and not super cheerful. The shops atmosphere needs some work. As you pull in they had a couple rock crawlers parked at an angle to grab attention. But looked junky to me for an ice cream place. You can tell they rushed to open the shop in time for the season. I look fwd to seeing what they do with the place as they settle in and get it figured out. They did have a hand written "no u turn" sign as you pulled in. I found that very tacky.
Still worth the stop.... That...
Read moreI was a regular at Bobby's Ice Cream last season—there a minimum of once a week, sometimes more. I brought my girlfriend almost every time, along with friends and out-of-town visitors. It was one of my favorite local spots, and I always left happy.
But today was my first visit this year, and I left disappointed. I ordered a large ice cream, but what I was handed looked more like a small—even smaller than mediums I’ve had here in the past. When I questioned it, I was told the ice cream was just really soft. I explained that I’ve been here many times and know what a large typically looks like, but the staff insisted it was correct.
If that was truly a large, then a small must be nearly empty. I didn’t get what I paid for, and after being such a loyal customer, this was really frustrating. I...
Read moreArguably the best burgers in the Black Hills. The chicken strips are huge. BLT was good, but our adult son wished he would have had the burger. It's $4 to add fries to a meal, but they are homemade & very good. The 1st time we were there, the fries got a bit overdone (as seen in photos). The 1st photo is the 2nd visit & fries were perfect. The ice cream is rich & creamy. Lots of flavors. This is a great place to stop while in Lead, SD. You can eat inside or outside. They are currently open 7 days a week 11-6 S-Th...
