*I do not appreciate you (Tyke Mohr, owner of Java Joint) going onto my business facebook page and claiming that you know someone I treated and that you do not recommend me. Additionally you did a bunch of negative reactions (photos below) to various posts I made all because I posted my honest experience of your location. This is online harrasment. I think you have a great mission and a potential to do great but do not attack or bully me because I left a google review for your place of business.
Okay I so w ant to give a higher review but I just can't. I really think though with some elbow grease and slight changes this would pop right up. On the inside it is very cool. It looks like 90's grunge which is lovely. However, the place needs a really good clean throughout the entire space. As for the front door we actually thought we were entering through the back or that the place was closed because there was a pile of garbage that was about knee high right in front of the door that we had to move out of the way. We ordered 3 different paninis and they were all flavorful but it didn't appear that the food was being stored properly and all the containers were left open as the food was prepped. There were several unmasked folks in the place who kept going to retrieve forks and napkins that kept coughing by the food. Finally we ordered 2 milk shakes and I would describe them as slighly thicker than a glass of skim milk. All our toppings floated to the bottom :(. I so wanted to love this place. But like I said with a few changes I know I would've felt much more comfortable...
Read moreThe experience I had here was extremely negative. At the time I went in there with a group of five people and there was a group of about six other people who were waiting for their drinks and must have gotten service right before we stopped by. The gentleman that was working the counter was having issues with and yelling at the girl he was working with. I don't exactly know what the problem was but it went on for a couple minutes. Then he yelled at our group and the other group of people that were standing there waiting for drinks or service that he couldn't tell who hadn't had service yet because everyone was just standing in the waiting area. One of the drinks they made for our group ended up being a different drink then they had originally ordered. The atmosphere was (im assuming) meant to lean more towards the 90's/80's era and also a little hippie with incense, chakra stones, and handmade jewelry(which was kind of cool) but the furniture in there looked like they had picked it up a long the side of the road and the lighting was a little too dark. As our group was leaving the gentleman again was lecturing the girl about her service and that took made the whole...
Read moreWe stopped for coffee and ice cream. The food and drinks were good. The service was good. They got slammed right after we arrived and so they were busy. The workers took all the orders before they started to work on ours, so we were there for about 30 minutes for four ice creams and one iced coffee.
The atmosphere was not my thing. There was a lot of kitschy stuff all over the place. On the tv they had music videos playing that I didn't really care for my kids to see so I had them wait outside with mom. Other than that, most of it was fine but was just over done.
The biggest concerns I had were safety. There was a light fixture that seemed to not be working even though it looked like it was connected to electricity that had toys hanging from it. The bathroom had a lamp plugged into a non-GFI plug that sat on the counter next to the sink. They had multiple grills plugged into the wall for cooking their sandwiches. I'm pretty sure a fire marshal would have a lot of paperwork if he...
