This place was magical for $125 per night. I'm not paid to give reviews, so don't worry this is genuine stuff. We were 7 people to visit Mount Rushmore (like 1.5 hours drive from the hotel) and booked two twin bedrooms from May 30th to June 1st, 2025 in Leads Hampton Inn. The staff went above and beyond to meet our expectations. Anytime you need extra soap or towels, they provide you with a smile. They have 24/7 coffee and parking is free. They are fairly new to business in Leads, I hope they maintain the level of cleanliness and friendliness throughout the years. Breakfast was good, could have added more variety but in general you'll find the basics provided in all similar hotels no nothing to complain about. Some may not like the absence of swimming pool, but for us we were busy doing outdoor activities so didn't mind. The gym was huge and with spectacular views. Room was clean and well maintained, with nice views of the hilly area. We saw deer nearby the hotel. Some people let their pets go freebies when they have breakfast and I hate that. That's not something for the hotel to manage especially when all places are pet friendly these days, rather the pet owner should pay attention so others who may have pet allergies aren't uncomfortable. Overall it was a great trip and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Staff are very accommodating.

Came during Sturgis and booked well in advance. Rooms were good, enjoyed the breakfast, loved having covered parking and being so close to everything. We did also change to check out a day early and they did not charge us for which was very nice and unexpected. The only real negative I have is that we requested DAILY cleanings when we checked in. We travel a lot and know this Hotel Chain does not do daily cleaning. We were told we would be put on a list for daily cleanings, we leave the next day and come back to an uncleaned room, went down and requested again, was told that wouldn’t happen again, next day go to the counter in the morning and let them know and make sure we are on the list for cleaning that day, get back and our bed is half made(picture below), but no new towels. Go to front desk and the man was very kind again and brought us new towels to our room and took the used ones. We go into the final day and again our room was not cleaned. We asked for daily at check in and again each day then still had to go to the desk every night. Just not thrilled with how it was handled.

I think this is my favorite Hampton Inn I've stayed at so far! It's very new and modern, the service was absolutely unbeatable, and the view from the room is amazing. Love love love. Would love to give special props to the guy working check-in but I can't remember his name. Was it Rob? Ron? The only thing about the area in general is that there are like no proper restaurants. It's a little strange. There are a few but most of them are closed. Great little town though, and very close to Deadwood. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel is well designed and easy to find.  The hot breakfast was nice - my only suggestion would be to add bananas and granola.||We booked 2 rooms.  I love Hilton's digital key innovation - unfortunately, my digital key only worked for 1 of the rooms.  Ok, no biggie - we got a physical key for the second room.  ||When we opened the second room we found dead flies on the floor - not 1 or 2, but more than 10.  Ten percent of the room has a beige tile floor - the other ninety percent has a very dark carpet. We found the flies on the tile and didn't venture on to the carpeted section - I shudder to think how many were there.  The shower had more dead flies and a cockroach.  This is completely unacceptable and inexcusable for any hotel, much less for a Hilton.||When we reported our findings at the front desk, his response was: “Oh, I'll vacuum those up for you.".   We learned later why he was so blase.  I had to threaten to cancel both bookings before he finally gave us a different room (much smaller).||We stayed 2 nights, and never received even a hint of housekeeping the whole time.  Not even 2 minutes to empty garbage cans and replace a few towels.  The lack of housekeeping went a long way toward explaining why our second room was so disgustingly filthy, and why the front desk clerk was so blase about it.||My wife and I are planning 2 trips to the Black Hills region next year, but we will never consider Hampton Inn for our hotel –...

When we reported our findings at the front desk, his response was: “Oh, I'll vacuum those up for you.". We learned later why he was so blase. I had to threaten to cancel both bookings before he finally gave us a different room (much smaller).

We stayed 2 nights, and never received even a hint of housekeeping the whole time. Not even 2 minutes to empty garbage cans and replace a few towels. The lack of housekeeping went a long way toward explaining why our second room was so disgustingly filthy, and why the front desk clerk was so blase about it.
