Jack in the Box — Restaurant in League City

On 11/01/2023, I visited this Jack in the Box location at approximately 3:15pm. I ordered a Buttery Jack combo with medium curly fries and a Coke Zero. After waiting several minutes in the drive-thru I was greeted at the window for payment. The man at the window was very sick and wearing a face mask. Although he wore a face mask it offered minimal protection against germs as he constantly swiped his runny nose all while preparing and bagging my order. As far as I’m concerned everything behind the counter is/was contaminated. I never once witnessed him wash or sanitize his hands while handling food. The restaurant seemed extremely short staffed and incapable of meeting the demand for quality food resulting in poor overall service. After receiving my order I made sure all items were present before leaving the drive-thru. Once I arrived to my destination which was UTMB (directly across the freeway), I noticed my entire order was old and not fresh. I attempted to call the restaurant waiting several minutes but no one to answer the phone. After waiting another 5-10 minutes I decided to call again and no one answered. I am entirely displeased with the overall service and lack of customer support as it pertains to my order. I feel as if I were robbed of my hard earned money without regard for me, the customer. During a time such as now where inflation and the price of food is higher than normal has especially worsened my experience at this establishment. TL:DR graveyard is hard but improvement possible

Food was exceptionally prompt for the time of the morning. The chicken nuggets definitely seemed underdone, by that I mean cooked but cool but still warmly greased enough to be easily bitten through... (honest, it was not my intention to complain in a review but when one was solicited from my phone app I decided to say something) As I recall, in my fry cook days, there was a discouraged technique of double frying that could lead to this, or leaving the nuggets to come to room temperature sitting above the fryer. The drive through attendant was technically proficient. If I were the general manager, I'd want to know. If I were the employees working during a deep car rush at 130 am, I'd probably not give this too much regard, and, perhaps, rightfully so. This jack in the box has to be probably the worst one out there. Every time I go I have a difficult time with staff and they’re SO lazy and rude. The whole staff should be fired. They shut the doors on you and kick you out even if you’re already inside. Once, my car had an attempted break in and the glass was completely shattered so I couldn’t roll down my window. They wouldn’t let me in the store because they didn’t want to open the doors while they just watched me struggle outside and refused me service. Today I went to get the free jumbo jack for the Astros getting 3 runs and they told me we could only get one jumbo jack per car even though there was two of us and the lobby was closed. Ridiculous! If I was inside you would have to honor the jumbo jack PER PERSON. Now my boyfriend gets to eat and I don’t. I’m never coming back to this location...
