Taco Works — Restaurant in League City

Even though the glowing reviews were suspicious, we decided to give it a try.

First off, the dining room is small and it was storming. When we arrived, two women were inside eating letting their children sit at several different tables. We sat at the only available table and watched other patrons come in to eat and either leave because there was no seating available or just order food to-go... the staff never paid attention until the 2 women left and the manager hugged them goodbye. It was uncomfortable to eat with people standing around us wanting our table.

The food itself was pretty bland... The queso tasted almost like it came from a can and was luke warm. My southwest roll was probably frozen and flash fried. The outside was barely crispy,however the inside was ice cold. I'm assuming it was not cooked long enough and that was the cause of my gut issues the next day... Our tacos were the best thing there, yet medicore at best.

Also, the staff forgot to make my wife's taco plate; it took 15 extra minutes to get her food so when we finally began to eat, my food was cold...

It's our suspicion that owner probably had his family or temple friends give 5 stars ratings on his bad restaurant......

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting — friendly staff, clean and lively space, and the smell of freshly prepared food hit me right away. I ordered the steak burrito, steak tacos and kids steak tacos there was complementary chips and salsa, and everything was top-tier. The tacos and burritos were perfectly seasoned, juicy. The chips were crisp and the salsa tasted like it was made in-house , vibrant, balanced, and full of flavor.

What really stood out was the service: attentive, genuine, and proudly passionate about their food. I never felt rushed, and I enjoyed chatting with the team about their menu and recommendations.

Had a lovely time visiting Taco Works. Great little stop to enjoy a nice meal. The staff were so friendly. I cannot say enough about how pleasant they were.

The atmosphere is super chill and relaxed. Great place to eat outside. And it was super clean and comfortable.

Now the food - was it good? It was great! We had the quesqdilla, the tacos and of course guacamole and chips. The quesqdilla was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The crispy beef tacos very good and tasty. The Chipotle sauce comes on the tacos. It had a bit of spice and was a perfect paring.
