Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Leander

After looking on our neighborhood Facebook page for recommendations on where to order good pizza we decided to go with Marco’s after all of the suggestions. (We are a in a new development Larkspur) but were told we’d have to call in to place the order, not online. After my husband called to give the man our address he had to check with a manager and proceeded to put us on hold for over 5 minutes my husband thought maybe they forgot about him, so he hung up and called back....no answer both times. I then tried to call from my phone, three times and no answer. We called the Marco’s a little further away to make sure it wasn’t their store we were supposed to be calling and they said no it should be the one on Ronald Reagan. I called back again, TWICE and after letting the second call ring for over 30 seconds someone finally answered (same guy from earlier) and my husband spoke to him, reminded him of the phone call they were just having and how he was left on hold. The man replied “oh yeah sorry about that. No we don’t deliver” and we told him we called the other location to make sure, and he replied saying “okay well you can pick it up” in such a rude tone.

I understand if maybe your store is busy it being New Year’s Day, but to leave a customer on hold for over 2-3 mins is wrong, to not call back is wrong, to then ignore over 5 call from a paying customer is wrong. Decided to top it off with attitude. Even more frustrating that SO many of our neighbors have been able to order from this store and we were told no. This is disappointing. We have always been fans of Marco’s but I don’t know if we will be able to order from them anymore without feeling “troublesome” to their workers.

UPDATE: We did have a manager call us back directly and apologize. I understand fully that they were a new establishment at the time, and with some employees still in training. The manager again addressed our concerns and we have ordered multiple times now from this location. Always great food, and now there is consistent and good service....

The food tastes good, but it's not worth the time spent waiting for it or the headache and hassle once you finally do receive your order.

Several weeks ago, I ordered a hot sub from this Marco's location. The food took almost two hours to arrive (even though I live close to the store), and when I received it, everything about the sandwich was wrong (the toppings, the bread, then I noticed it wasn't even the sandwich I'd actually ordered). The manager was actually very helpful and immediately offered to refund me for my entire order (my husband ordered a pizza) and not just the incorrect item. Since it was Friday and I'm sure things were crazy, I chalked it up as a fluke and fully expected to order from this location again.

When I gave them another chance, the order took almost two hours to arrive. When it finally came, the two hot subs I ordered were extremely small, the double ham I paid for wasn't on the sandwich, and the two bottled sodas I paid for were nowhere to be found. When we called the store and asked if they could bring the drinks, they said they would, but 30 minutes went by and no one showed up. I called and asked if they could just refund my drinks, but the person on the phone kept insisting they bring the drinks to us. I told him that they said that 30 minutes ago and we didn't want to wait, so I finally gave up and drove to the store to get...

I was just so tired of cooking day after day and asked Mr. if he would like pizza. I told him since I'm on keto I would not eat it but that he could and I would order a salad and some chicken wings. I ordered him a small pizza, thin crust. His favorite toppings are bacon, ham, fresh tomatoes, and green olives. I ordered myself a regular size, Greek salad, and a small order of chicken wings with garlic butter. The pizza at Marco's is one of our favorites for thin crust version and this time it was no different. The only thing I will have to do is order, perhaps an individual size if it is smaller than a small because it was way too much for the hubby. Where I really have to brag is on the Greek salad and the chicken wings I had never ordered them before. The Greek salad was delicious and there was more than enough for two servings, so I put half away for the next day. I think the wings were cut in half. They were pretty small, but they were absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed them and would definitely order them again keto or not. We do recommend this location of Marcos.
