Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Leander

I was very excited to see that a Shipleys was opening in my neighborhood, and went as soon as it opened. I have been twice and already feel it’s right to leave a review. The first time I went I got a kolache and donut. Noticed immediately that the kolache tasted stale and dry. I thought maybe it was because of the time of the day that I went and decided to give it another try. This morning I went once again got a kolache and donut holes. To my surprise once again the kolache tasted stale and dry almost as if it had been warmed up multiple times, but the real issue was with the donut holes. They were extremely old. I think this location might be serving days old food unfortunately. I have been around enough to know when a donut is a couple days old and this happens to be the case.

Really disappointed that with the recent open of this place that this is how the owners are setting the stage for their location. The location hasn’t been open that long and they are already serving old food to customers. Also Shipleys is not cheap, it’s quite pricy for this the be the...

Love the idea of having this place so close to my house, but I went early Saturday morning (before 6am) with no line. I ordered 3 items and received the wrong items. My wife went the same day a couple of hours later with our daughter, they also got her order wrong with the 3 items she ordered.

When I say I want a jalapeño and sausage kolache, that does not mean I want egg in it. Of course I didn’t see it until I got to work and started to eat it. Told my wife about it later that day and she tells me her order was wrong too. Wasn’t going to write a review but 2 orders wrong in the same day within hours of each other…..SMH.

Ordered through the drive thru, love the sign outside for easy ordering! However, the young girl taking my order was too distracted talking to the other girl inside as I had to repeat my order 3 times. As soon as I pull up she’s just talking to the girl next to her, obviously not work related. She gave me my change and just kept talking to her. Customer service was a 0. The other Shipleys on Parmer would NEVER, they always ask how I’m doing or how my day is going, if I have any plans later, etc! I work in customer service and this just rubbed me the wrong way and not a great way to start my morning.
