In the heart of the Ronald Reagan corridor in Leander, thereâs a sweet haven that stands out amidst the rest â Whipped Bakery and Cafe. Itâs the sort of place that seems to have mastered the recipe of combining love, warmth, and deliciousness into every bite and sip.
From the moment you walk in, there's an overwhelming sense of coziness and whimsy that wraps around you. But it's not just the ambiance that captures the heart; it's their food and drink that truly sets Whipped Bakery and Cafe apart. Their cupcakes and macarons are the stuff of dreams. Soft, moist, and with the perfect balance of sweetness, each one is a testimony to the love and craftsmanship put into baking. Every flavor has its own story to tell, and with each bite, you embark on a delightful journey.
I'm not a coffee person, but they have plenty of options for me too! My friends enjoy their coffee creations but even their teas, whether you're a fan of the classic hot variants or the refreshing iced versions, Whipped never disappoints. Their teas have a way of warming the soul (or cooling it, depending on your choice) and making you feel at home. The balance of flavors, the aroma, and the perfect temperature always seem to hit the mark.
One of the most captivating aspects of Whipped Bakery and Cafe, however, is the sense of community it brings. I love popping in when I'm on that side of town! Conversations flow easily, and it's not uncommon to see strangers bonding over their favorite cupcakes, coffees or tea blends. It's a place where memories are made, stories are shared, and love is felt.
For anyone visiting Leander or even those living here, a trip to Whipped Bakery and Cafe is a must. Itâs more than just a bakery or a cafe; it's an experience â one of warmth, love, and delightful flavors that linger on, long after you've left its doors.
To the team at Whipped: Thank you for the sweetness you bring to our lives, one cupcake and...
Read moreMy dad had ordered a red velvet cake on the website on his computer the other day, we got the cake and realized we got roche flavor instead. After checking the conformation/receipt email he had gotten, the flavor was completely rewritten as roche instead of red velvet. And i KNOW he ordered it correctly because i was there and clearly saw him click on red velvet and confirm the order. We went back on thw website too to try and see if he somehow misclicked. Roche was nowhere close enough for him to misclick. Adding a cake review too. The icing tasted weird and almost burnt like or dusty, i cant put my finger exactly on it, but it tasted off. The cake flavor (that came out wrong ofc) did not taste good at all, it was spongey but not the good kind, it tasted like bloomed chocolate that had been sitting in a closet for years collecting dust. The cake was made fresh or atleast a couple days fresh. But it tasted old and you guessed it, had a hint of a somewhat dusty flavor in it too! And price wise, for the cake we got it was nowhere near worth the price, 85 dollars for a six inch that tasted bad, decorating was amateur. I dont like to comment a lot on decorations because i know everyone has a skill range and its almost karen to say it (ALSO throwing in there, we asked for this type of cake, because there were very limited options for red velvet decorated cakes on the website.) But it literally looks like anyone could make it if they had a steady hand.
Customer service was okay, pretty normal. Though I never understood the idea of waiting until the customer comes to pick up the order before adding the text to the cake. We waited around 15 minutes for them to finish before finally picking up the cake. If the situation was any different, im just saying that anyone who was in a rush would not be happy at all for having to wait the extra time.
Atmosphere wise: also pretty standard for a bakery, nothing...
Read moreThey have really cute and yummy treats but donât trust them to set items aside for you. I called this morning to ask if they had any lunar new year themed treats - they said yes and they, without my asking, offered to set some aside for me. Just six macarons. I was very grateful and said Iâd be there within the hour. When I arrived, within the time frame, the people behind the counter didnât know what I was talking about. While I waited at the counter an employee came out saying âthey need 13â and proceeded to grab the last three or so of the adorable lunar new year dumpling macarons. By the time I made it to the register that same employee came out with two thirds of my order and said âweâre actually out of the dumplingsâ to which I replied, âyou mean the ones I just saw you take the last of?â And she said âyeah, they were for another order.â Obviously, my niece will survive without dumpling macarons tomorrow but it was clear to me that, not only was I not going to walk out with the product I was promised but, they had mismanaged someone elseâs order and were scrambling to provide them what they had been promised. My guess is that they had to take the two dumplings theyâd set aside for me to fulfill this other customers order. Extremely frustrating. The man at the register also gave me the wrong total (almost double) and only re-checked it when I hesitated and starting calculating the should-be total in my head. I try to stay positive on here but if I were a new customer looking to place a more important order I would want to know that their systems appear quite disorganized. I will be getting my new years treats somewhere...
