Denny's — Restaurant in Lebanon

My fiancé and I went here on 04/19/25! We both really enjoyed everything we got. I got the banana chocolate chip pancakes with sausage and hash browns as well as fruit, my only complaint is the sausage links were a little funny tasting but that’s a supply chain problem not employee problem. I also got hot tea to drink. My fiancé got hot chocolate to drink, the French toast slam and the sweet cream caramel French toast slam, so he got 4 slices of back and 4 sausage links! He really enjoyed all of his food, I tried a bite and thoguht it was pretty good too! The server we had was a bit special. She seemed like she wasn’t all there and not focused on her job. I asked if the tea had refills cause first time there and her response was refocusing her attention to me “oh you want hot tea okay!” I had to repeat myself and her only response was “refills?yes!” When she brought us our food she was staring off and struggling to set the plates on the table. I sat there for about 15 minutes with no sight of her and when she came to the table had to ask for a refill for my tea and it took her about 10 minutes to come back with it. Our waitress was awesome, but the cooks were very rude and disrespectful. Didn’t prepare the food as specified. Don’t they understand that even when you’re TRYING to give me bad service as a customer you’re messing with the waitress tip??? Because I’m simply gonna judge the overall restaurant. Even though she was nice her co-workers were rude and intentionally served me last or slowly and it was very noticeable. On top of that, for an attitude when we asked for certain things to be corrected. Like the sandwich came with bacon, but no bacon was there, so we asked for it and they got a little huffy. And then the burger was falling apart coming to the table, grease was splatted all over the place, the presentation was a mess, and to them that was acceptable, and you know it wasn’t. But that’s okay, I never come to Lebanon, Mo, and I won’t be back. Don’t get me wrong the food was great but don’t make it so painfully obvious that you mishandle or mistreat certain customers……. Smh

Great waitress even though she was new. Very attentive and patient. My son ordered the chicken fried steak and veggies with the Mac and cheese. I had a t bone medium rare with Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The Mac and cheese was too salty and just tasted a little off. Neither my son or I finished more than a few bites. Also the new rustic mashed potatoes were not impressive in my mind. And I love mashed potatoes. I would have had their old regular ones. Other than that the food was good. My steak was cooked medium rare like I prefer and tasted good. And my son's chicken fried steak must have been good because he ate that and the mixed vegetables before I could blink. My only other issue was the booth we were in the seats were worn out on both sides. You could feel the padding was gone and felt like you would sink into it. We both had to scoot further into the booth to avoid that part of the bench. So hopefully they will get benches re upholstered soon. Oh and they are now using those nasty paper straws that make drinks taste like cardboard....
