A delight of a museum. Next door to the library, homespun, carefully maintained. Great snapshots of history over the Missouri sections of Route 66 and memorabilia from the stretches east and west of Missouri. What this quaint museum may lack in square footage, it makes up with in high quality experience and a genuine walk through Missouri history with pictures, articles, and items from the people who cared enough to make it a special place. Read moreI was kind of excited to see this museum, even though being inside a library seemed a little different. Once there, I'm not sure I would call it a "museum" unfortunately. It took all of maybe 10-15 minutes to see, as it's not a very big section of the library. There were some decent things there, like the gas pumps & car. There was quite a bit of stuff from the Munger Moss Motel, and was neat to see history from that aspect as well.
I can appreciate that it's open to the public free of charge. Just wish there was more to see. The gift shop was a nice store, but there was not much pertaining...
