What a really, really nice place!! We were at the Gem show at the Lebanon Expo Center, and googled places to eat - Lebanon Gin Mill popped up. Looked great and boy was it! We were greeted by a couple local guys who let us know you could walk any direction around the very large bar. There's definitely a comfortable, at-home vibe here, no matter where you're from. All the menu options are very well priced for what you get. The cocktails are delicious and also reasonably priced - great value for your dollar here. We sat at the bar close to the "stage" which is in the corner of the bar area. They have live music and Sundays are "Sunday Jams" from 2-5pm. Jessica Batz was the singer and she was great - lots of classic rock/folk songs. Jill was the bartender and she took expert care of us. She was very busy slinging drinks but still would stop by and talk with us and make us feel welcome. She was very proud of her tenure at the restaurant, and enjoyed her job. Her kindness to two strangers was refreshing. They have an awesome beer selection with some stuff you're not going to find just anywhere. I had an apricot sour that was delicious. We ordered the following food: 6 old bay wings, 6 "sweet fire" wings (their signature sauce), Burnt Ends (on top of a bed of blue-cheese coleslaw, just a hint), and the salmon platter - blackened on top of bacon and brussels sprouts with a honey-dijon sauce on the side. The wings and burnt ends were so good we forgot to take pictures; just of the salmon platter. Jill's cocktails were excellent - her lavender collins is so yummy. Also don't miss the smoked peach old-fashioned. All in all, we had an amazing time. This place flies under the radar, but shouldn't. It should be shouted from...
Read moreI wasn't sure how to rate this one. My husband and I moved to the area about 2 years ago. We have gone for lunch before and they never disappointed, which is why we kept going back. Great food, and good service. That said, we have also had dinner and takeout from there. Both were severely lacking. Food quality and service seem to slip during these transactions. Dinner takes a long time to get (even when they're not busy). The last take out we got, we each threw half of it away. We were both disappointed by quality. I got a steak salad. I'd expect some things to be off because of the heat in the container on the way home. Soggy fries? To be expected and no worries there. Steak I can't eat much of because it is mostly fat? Disappointing. Salad with brown lettuce after a five min drive? Unacceptable and I know it had to already be brown. We stood waiting for our order for several minutes once we arrived to pick it up, so it had just been made. Ridiculous, especially for $18 when other places in the area charge half that. I'm not served something I can't eat at other places. Sadly, after yesterday's experience, we probably won't be back. It sucks because we loved their...
Read moreAttention locals and visitors who haven’t been here and who appreciate a great craft beer selection and great service- YOU MUST VISIT THE GIN MILL!! I put off going here for a year and a half and truly missed out that whole time…First, Nancy and Mark were behind the bar and welcomed me with smiling faces and made me feel right at home. Then, when I saw the draft list my jaw DROPPED!! They have some major and minor craft brews that blew me away… I ended up getting two flights, they let me taste several others and talked with me about them and helped me discover new things. I truly appreciate the time they took to take care of me and I so enjoyed talking with them!
The food list looks amazing but I didn’t eat here this time. I’ll definitely be back and can’t wait to try the food!!
The vibe is old world pub with a rich wood bar that’s over 100 years old shipped over from England. It’s cozy and a little dark at the bar which I liked and they had a nice sunny area in the front with tables too if that’s more your thing. They were playing nice music that wasn’t too loud to have a conversation.
Overall, 10/10 would bring my...
