We loved the food at this restaurant and our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. But I have to say that our dining experience there was nothing but negative. When I made the reservation, they told me that we would have the table for one and a half hours. That was certainly fine because we know that restaurants are struggling right now because of the pandemic and are having difficulty getting help, so their hours are shorter. But, as soon as we stepped in the door, the hostess again told us that she is reminding us that we only have an hour and a half. That was our greeting. Not, welcome, or Happy Holidays…….. We were seated and ordered dinner. We did enjoy the food, but unfortunately, we will never return there, because how you are treated is as important as the food. Fifteen minutes before our time was up, the hostess began to remove our plates. That was also fine, but we still had wine, and at four minutes before we were supposed to be finished, the hostess came to our table and said that she is again reminding us that they need our table and the other people were out there waiting in the lobby. We said that we still had a few minutes, could we just finish our wine. Her reply was that we were welcome to go to the bar with our wine, and she didn’t say it kindly. Also, there weren’t seats at the bar. Who was out in the lobby, the president? Whoever it was, obviously was a lot more important than we were. We eat out a lot in Lancaster, and have never had treatment even close to that. Based on that, we do not recommend this establishment to anyone. Sorry, but it tainted the whole evening and we literally felt like we were kicked out...

My husband and I went here for his birthday dinner based off recommendation from a friend. For an Italian restaurant we expected warm fresh bread, and it was cold, dense and flavorless. The house salad seemed to lack ingredients and only consisted of romaine and iceberg lettuce, cheese and one small pepperoncini. I ordered fettuccini Alfredo with chicken which is a pretty standard Italian dish, the chicken was shredded into very small pieces and the sauce had little to no flavor, lacking the basic flavor profile of Alfredo. I explained to the server I wasn’t satisfied, and ordered another dish. That is when the head chef/owner came out to deliver my dish and was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. He questioned why I didn’t like his Alfredo and I politely explained I didn’t care for the dish because it was lacking flavor. He got very defensive and went on to question my knowledge of how Alfredo is prepared and how I prepare my Alfredo. He walked away from our table shook his head and mumbled something under his breath. This is surely not how you treat a customer or how you hold yourself as a professional in the dining room. I couldn’t even eat the meal because of how upset I was at how he treated me. We will certainly not be returning. Only good part was our server Rachel, she was so...

This was our second visit. First one very good however this visit not impressed and no immediate plans to return. Over priced - over salted- over cooked. The star of our meal was the salad casa - delicious. As far the bread placed on the table - not true Italian bread which is what you would expect but more of a honey wheat. Dipping oil was provided however no seasonings or herbs - just the oil From then on sad to say - downhill. Diner One had linguini with shrimp and oysters. It had an adequate amt of pasta and I did not view the oysters however the shrimp were pitifully tiny. Diner Two had Veal Osso Buco - for $36 this should have been outstanding. Instead a disappointment. Salty, no more than 3/4 cup of polenta as the base ( really?) and the veal probably totaled no more then 3/4 cup at best. The sauce would have been better with less salt. Diners two and three both had again another $36 entree which was another disappointment - red snapper - overcooked which resulted in dryness- again with too much salt. The broccolini - 2 teeny short stalks - well I had to search them them. I will say the gnocchi were good. I really dont understand why this place draws the people. We do like to support our local eateries and hopefully with a third visit we will see...

A friend introduced this Italian restaurant, 50 minutes drive only for our love of Italian food. Our first time at Trattoria Fratelli, Ms. mary is very professional and friendly. She introduced us to LEONE DE CASTRIS red wine and let us taste it. A bottle is $45. tasty. Appetizer; BLUE CRAB & PANZANELLA TORTA, the blue crab meat is very fresh, the side dishes and sauces are very special, I ate it all. Main course; CAST IRON-SEARED RED SNAPPER Unfortunately the fish and broccoli were burnt, The broccoli was all black and had no vegetable taste, it was bitter and I threw it away. But maybe someone likes it. VEAL “OSSO BUCO” RAGU is very good, the meat is fresh and tender, and I also like the side dishes and sauce. DOLCI:CHOCOLATE OPERA FUDGE BOMBE This chocolate dessert is like a bomb, I need to cut it very hard, But the taste of chocolate is very strong. melt-in-your-mouth. Coffee with Sambuca tastes great. All in all, the dinner on Friday was still wonderful, and the dining environment was warm and hygienic.

My second time here - this time coming back with my family who were visiting me from Va. We are a party of 3 and all quite “ picky “ . This Italian restaurant offers food and flavors very close to what we had in Italy ( we were in Italy for 3 weeks traveling accross the country). Service is phenomenal, and our waitress is Jane, which is super sweet and knowledgeable. Menu rotates amongst season( both for drinks and food). No parking but you can find street parking parking. Some of our dishes were a bit salty ( i think the good from my first visit was better) but other than that, everything was perfect. Beautiful presentation. The chocolate “ bomb” was good but ultra rich, which i don't recommend if you're already full. The gelato is refreshing. Reservation is a must if you don't want to turn away.

The service was excellent, and the food was great! I got veal and crabmeat, with a vanilla bourbon glacé, and a sausage, chicken, pizza with red and orange peppers on it, the peppers were so sweet and absolutely delicious!Just keep in mind that their menu changes four times a year, so Google maps is not up-to-date with their current menu. The veal was cooked just right and perfectly tender, and the morel leak polenta had the most awesome texture. This is a higher end restaurant, so you will end up spending a little bit more but I would highly recommend going with a nice date to impress. But the pizza is cheap at 8 inches around$12-$16.
