The Little Store at the Marsh Brothers Deli is an historic and legendary landmark known for 5 things: egg breakfast sandwiches on Portuguese muffins or wraps, rockin' sammies with home-smoked meats, fresh daily donuts, homemade soups and local beer drops. Look at all of the Reader's Choice awards on the window outside. There's no coincidence why. Delicious flavors for breakfast and lunch. Check their Facebook page for daily photos of donuts and features. Donuts are commonly cinnamon, fritters, maple and lemon zeppoles. Their most popular sandwiches are the pressed Cubano with pickles and mustard and the Roast Beef sandwich with an onion roll. The Cubano sandwich is hefty and satisfying, cleanly presented. The Roast Beef sandwich is better. It's got a real pleasing marinated flavor, it's a stack of soft, thinly sliced roast beef and the onion roll-- where else are you going to find any sandwich like that in the area?! Speaking of another fabulous find: there is a smoked chicken meat salad sub. This is the best chicken sandwich sub I've ever tasted. There is a simple and plain version. They also feature the smoked chicken salad in daily specials sometimes with added ingredients. Also for the egg breakfast sandwiches: I haven't found Portuguese muffins anywhere outside of the Vineyard or Manhattan. Maybe in the whole Bostonian area these muffins are more common but I haven't found them anywhere in grocery stores in the Upper Valley. There are also local maple syrups, honey and chips available. You can walk right in and go to the back refrigerators for local beer and find recent beer drops. Also there are local maple products available. Their meat smoker is built special-ordered by their cousin and is quite a beast! My advice: don't come to the Little Store at Marsh Brothers Deli. Or else you might become a...

I have been going here for years. I literally just drove 45 minutes to get a breakfast sandwich, turn around, and drive home. They have a large menu, which can sometimes lead to some items not being their best at other establishments. Not here. Everything on the menu is simply amazing. You could throw a dart at the menu board and be assured your meal will be a new favorite, with large portions and quality ingredients. Be sure to check out the specials board in the store or on their Facebook page, as it changes daily and they're experts at coming up with unique but always delicious options.

As I said, there are no wrong choices to be made here, but on the rare times I don't pick something off the menu board, my go-to is usually the Cubano or the meatloaf sandwich. I also have an incredibly difficult time not leaving with some bacon-wrapped smoked jalapeño poppers.

To finish, one of my favorite aspects of my visits here isn't the food, but the people. I can tell you with certainty not just from my own interactions but seeing other people's interactions as well, that if you go to Marsh Brother's with any kind of regularity, you will have some great friends waiting for you every time you walk through the door. This place is small, but overlooking it is a...

All I can say is WOW! Am I surprised at how delicious and awesome this place is?? No. The reviews prepared me for an amazing experience, but I still must say WOW because no one lied in their reviews. This place is just simply fantastic. I’m not even a huge sandwich guy but listen…. Everything I ordered was THE TRUTH! Best Italian Sausage Sub I’ve ever had! The Wood fire wings were very scrumptious! OMG the Pulled Pork Sandwich… OOOOOMMMMGGGGG!!!! I’m from Tennessee and THIS is how you prepare BBQ Pork. On a bun with coleslaw and some amazing sauce! The bacon wrapped meatloaf sandwich was soooo good! EVERYTHING aww ordered was wood fired and delicious! Please keep it up! I honestly don’t understand anyone who have reviewed this place with less than 5 stars. The food alone gets 5 stars from me, but the hospitality and all around sense of comfort I received while ordering and waiting for my food was also something to not be left out of this review! I have nothing bad to say about this place except I can’t believe I live 4 minutes from the place and just now trying it! Here’s to many more lunches!!! You...

When a place looks really not that appealing in pictures, but has incredible reviews, I urge you to stop. They are doing something right. We stopped here on our way from MA to VT, and it was our only stop in NH the entire time on the East Coast. It's a small place inside, with walls of drink choices and chip options. The people are friendly and quick to get your order, which we appreciated. The options are sort of hard to tell from the wall and signs, but I think that's the appeal. Between us all, we had the pulled pork sandwich, reuben, corned beef sandwich, and turkey sandwich. They were quick to get our food out and it was incredible, the best pulled pork sandwich I've ever had. We sat outside on a bench and ate before getting on the road again. If you didn't know about this place, it would be tough to find as there is no real Marsh Brothers sign. I am so glad we found it prior to our drive, otherwise we would have missed it altogether and surely ended up at an Arby's. The moral: quick service and just overall really great food, is the key to success.

Always such a great meal here. Easily the best sandwiches for miles around. Always fresh and warm as everything is cooked to order. This place is always busy and I'll always understand why. I moved to California and couldn't wait to come back to New Hampshire for one of their steak and cheeses. Their food is always filling and worth the price as it's a little bit pricey. They close early in the afternoon so make sure to get there early enough, deal with the lunch rush and just enjoy! I'll miss this place when we leave again.
