I've eaten a lot of sushi at many restaurants in many different parts of the U.S.. I am not picky, but I do know what sushi is sort of supposed to be like, generally. This is not good sushi. I ate here about a year ago and the raw tuna and salmon was discolored and tasted weird, so I decided not to eat here again. Whenever I see people eating their sushi, it always looks horribly suspicious. I can't believe people can stomach it. Today, a friend offered to buy me food from here, so I ordered an eel roll and fried rice (I wasn't looking for a bout of food poisoning), and the eel roll's sauce tasted like teriyaki sauce rather than eel sauce, which I don't like as much as typical eel sauce. It was also completely full of tons of little unchewable bones. It was weird because I've eaten a lot of eel sushi and I'm used to the bones either being removed, or being not so painful to swallow, difficult to chew, and annoying to pick out. Even chewing slowly, they just get stuck in your teeth or hurt to bite. It might be a matter of how many there were. The eel meat was on the inside of the roll, too, so I had to pull it apart to try to eat it, and it was so annoying. I ended up giving up. Again, I'm not a picky person, but I regret even trying to eat this. If I wanted to fiddle with bones I would've ordered a delicious fried fish from a different restaurant. Furthermore, the fried rice didn't have egg or vegetables or spices or anything, and it didn't have the texture or flavor that I'm accustomed to fried rice having. It reminded me of microwavable rice, but oily. Still, it was the only edible part of my dinner so I ate that. If you must eat here, the rice probably...

Price for the food is good and the server we had was nice. Not sure why the rating is as high as it is considering the food was trash. My rice tasted like cardboard and has no vegetables mixed in like fried rice usually does. My sushi I ordered the eel roll and the philadelphia roll, the eel roll had a lot of im not sure cartilage or something from the eel but it was like chewing on rubber and I had to spit out multiple pieces of it and it made me lose my appetite so I didn't finish either of my rolls. I told my server my issues and said I would be willing to pay for one roll considering I ate half of each roll. I tried to eat the eel as it was I really did I don't like to complain but the texture just made me sick man. She got the manager I assume? Some black haired older woman im not sure but I told her the same thing I told my server and she tried to argue with me! "Some people dont like eel based sushi because they get the part with the cartilage in it" all I ever get at sushi places is eel based sushi for the most part and I have NEVER had the rubbery part and for her to say that and argue with me was poor management. Im not sure why you would even use the part of the eel that has that in it in a sushi roll, guess they just dont care about quality. I told her that I had never had the rubber part in my experience and she didnt say anything and just walked away and gave us the bill and said I took the rice off and slapped the bill onto the table. So not a great experience and wont be coming back and really dont recommend...

First let me start by saying I've been eating here for years and years. It's one of my favorite places. The staff was always wonderful and the owner always took great care of us and if he didn't serve our table he always made sure we got great service no matter how busy they were. But the past 4 times I've ate there the service was terrible. It's always been the same server and she always has hickies on her neck which she's young and it happens but can be ignored but her terrible attitude is more unprofessional than the hickies. She jerks cups around to he point they spill. I asked for water for my 6 month old son and she got mad about it. I have been a server myself so I'm a very easy customer but she was terrible. Before getting our food there was 2 roaches Crawling the walls when I told the staff they got mad and I was just informing them because restraunts will be shut down over one roach but sometimes it's inevetable. They sent a terrified looking little girl to kill it and she couldn't even reach it. So we moved a table over and there was no one even around us. The server once again got angry and over charged us for our food on both checks. And acted offended that I asked nicely to fix it. I would no longer recommend...

*This is not going to be a typical review* I googled Hibachi grill restaurants as I wanted to celebrate a birthday and have the Hibachi experience. I showed up at Sake thinking they had the grills and was really disappointed that I messed up. However, Wayne the Mgr was soooo sweet and really tried to help me look around for a Hibachi grill experience. Since it was close to 2pm, we decided to go ahead and dine in anyway and just do a grill another time. Service: I already described Wayne's kindness. Then we were served by Tristan and goodness she was an absolute sweetheart as well! Everyone at Sake has the loveliest disposition. Food: We ordered the Fried Zen Shrimp and Beef Spring roll, a Spider roll and shrimp hibachi. The appetizers were so good that we ordered more shrimp and spring rolls! The only sad part is the "Spider" roll had shrimp instead of the standard softshell crab. It was good but should have been named shrimp tempura as my craving wasn't met. I'm so glad I found this place! The food is great, the service wonderful and the prices are very reasonable. I'm looking forward to returning here soon!

Ordered takeout. Teriyaki chicken and shrimp for 9.75, teriyaki chicken, shrimp and steak for 12.75, fried dumplings for 6.00 and a tempura roll for ~7.00. Below are the portion sizes. Absolutely terrible. I had 3 pieces of steak and 3-4 pieces of shrimp and chicken. A lot more rice than meat and the vegetables was mostly just onions and very little of anything else. The boxes in the pictures aren’t the large takeout boxes they’re quite small and still aren’t full. The dumplings are miniature. Sad. I’m severely disappointed about $40 after tax for such over prices and under portioned food. The only reason I give 2 stars is because it tasted decent but the taste doesn’t make up for the little amount of food you get for the price.

First time for us. We popped in on a Monday around 2pm and the restaurant was busy with lots of college kids. Sake is very unassuming from the outside, the decor is simple but functional. It has the feel of a comfortable beloved neighborhood venue. Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was tasty and authentic, the sushi freshly made, leaving you wanting more. We did not feel rushed or pressured, but rather very welcome. We met the owner who had that morning received a plaque from the Chamber of Commerce of Lebanon for being a favored business. If you are in the mood for truly authentic sushi and hibachi then a visit to Sake is a must.
