The great service is the only reason this place got 1 star instead of 0. Had the lunch buffet and I have to say I don't think the chef knows what a spice is. The green beans, carrots seem like he just took them out of a can, warmed them up and served. No butter, no spice no flavor. The fried chicken was soggy and again no flavor. Tasted like they just threw in it flour with 0 spices. You could tell from the color of the batter there was no flavor. Then I tried the pot roast. Easy dish to make. Never had I had a pot roast this lacking in flavour. The beef we as bland as can be. I tried hard to find something with flavor and I just couldn't. I didn't dare try the meatloaf. It looked like unseasoned hamburger meat with ketchup. The very nice waitress offered us some garlic bread. You know it was the kind that comes frozen in a box and you just warm up.. That was ok.. Then she offered us ice cream for dessert it was nice to get some flavor in my mouth before I left.

First time visitors on a Sunday morning. Very welcoming and familiar place for a meal. We were greeted and seated promptly. There’s plenty of seating and there was a modest crowd. Very nice vibe. Shortly after being seated we were alerted to two trays of cookies, one sugar free, which were out in celebration of a couple of birthdays. Felt like home. Very nice menu and good selection of daily specials. We ordered a meat lovers breakfast special and a spinach and bacon omelette. Both meals arrived piping hot and very attractive. We also ordered a side order of the stuffed French Toast with blueberries. The food was excellent. Very enjoyable breakfast, we felt at home and will be back.

So nice to find a really friendly and welcoming restaurant. Family photos decorate the walls and make you feel at home. Don't let the lack of "curb appeal" scare you off. Lots of breakfast options (a whole list to choose: omelet, skillet or flatbread) with no extra charge options that include the usual - plus oatmeal or pancakes). And very well-priced. We will definitely be going back.

While the service was excellent, and the place was very quaint, I did have a small piece, very small piece mind you, of egg shell in my scrambled eggs. They did take money off our bill without me asking and tried very hard to make up for it. Also my toddler pulled a plastic bag of some unknown contents out from between the seat and the wall. They apologized for that as well and says they will be checking better when they clean. The only other possible negative for me was it was so heavily Christian. I'm not against Christianity but being of a more eclectic spiritual mind set kind of made me feel a little out of place. But all in all, the staff were good and the food not bad. They got my steak right the first time, which is better than Cracker Barrel ever did, at...
