Today was the worst service I had at any Donut King. I placed an order for a dozen donuts over the phone for pick-up and as I told the lady my order, she took it incorrectly and got upset after she stated "that's a dozen" and I corrected her stating the "I only gave you a total of six", as she nastily requested I start over from the beginning. After she completed taking my order, I went to ask her to repeat the order and she hung the phone up. Once I arrived to pick up my order, I stated to the lady at the counter my experience, she brushed off my complaint and stated it happened because the store was busy. Based on her careless response, I requested to speak with a manager. She stated she was the manager. So i notice she was the lady i spoke with on the phone. Â I once again questioned about the rude experience on the phone and she stated there were other lined customers in the store waiting to order. I stated, the customers whether on the phone or in-store should all matter because we all are paying customers. She stated, I had to come to the store anyhow, so it would be able to be corrected. I believe she should not have perceived that the person ordering would also be the person picking up the order. Â Take the order correctly the first time, whether it is over the phone or in-store. When I asked the manager her name she stated, it was Carrie and went on to spell her name it such an ugly fashion. I work for a corporation and was on the phone with a corporate executive and the person heard the tone of voice Carrie spoke to me with and detested the poor customer service and management etiquette Carrie exuded. That was a poor display of management qualities. She simply could have stated her apologies for the abrupt hang up of the phone and how it would not happen again. But she hung up, did not apologize for her behavior, and made the customer feel as if they were not important. Terrible service. Worst...
   Read moreI am not a fan of donut king. I have gone here before and never really liked the experience. Today was the last straw with them. Inwas running late to work so I door dashed 2 dozen donuts to me. I specifically requested in one order to have 3 maple glazed, 2 apple fritters, 2 French cruelers, and 2 fruity pebble donuts the rest I didn't care. The dasher texts me from the store and says these are specialty donuts and they won't give them to me because they are 1-2 dollars extra each. I really dont get how maple glazed and french cruelers for sure are specialty....there is nothing special about them they are just glazed donuts. So they are strong arming me for 9-18 dollars more. I ask her if I can call and pay with a card over the phone. No to that they won't do it. The app won't let me cancel my order so now I'm getting 2 dozen donuts that aren't what I want, they wouldn't let me pay them more to get what I want....so 50 dollars in donuts and might as well be trash. I don't know how those are considered speciality. I'm done with donut king. I personally have always thought there donuts to be overally sweet anyway. I was bringing them to work and knew what my coworkers liked. There are better shops and I will be going to them....
Update....recieved my order and I'm missing half a dozen donuts....
   Read moreThe donuts are great but the staff, however my wife, myself and my five year old went in about two weeks ago on the weekend and were told that the happy hour is only Monday through Thursday fast forward roughly 2 weeks we go in last night which was Monday and we ask for the happy hour special it was like 7:40pm And we were informed we no longer do that, It was the same woman that told us previously that it was Monday through Thursday and she wasnât budging. I almost turned around and left but with a five-year-old, I canât walk into a donut place and turn around and leave and tell him he canât have a donut so we got donuts and left and I will be thinking twice about going back. I wish I caught the womanâs name. I believe sheâs some kind of a manager or some thing. I guess I will have to take our business elsewhere. Anytime weâve dealt with this worker there she barely gives the time of day is kind of rushing. I get it I have worked the restaurant industry but you get a child in front of donuts of different styles and they canât make up their mind so give them a minute no one else was in the place.
