Went through on my way back to DeLand. Drive thru was NOT busy, two cars in front of me had already placed their orders and had moved up to PU. I was the only one ordering. The girl had attitude that oused through the speaker. 😡 Don't people know they are actually at work getting paid? I asked her to make it hot and ready, basically cook to order because almost every order I've been getting at any McDonald's these days are having cold fries or stale nuggets that are rubbery and hard to chew. Got the the window and she shoved the bag at me forcing her restaurants stale nuggets on me and rushing me even though there was no one else in drive through. I asked if it was fresh and how and she shoved it in my hand and some babbling she said it was hot. I'll give her a star for honestly because it wasn't fresh. So I'm on my way home and fries were hot yesterday but tasted like they dropped old fries back down long enough to warm them up and make them really greasy. The standards of these corporations are going down seriously and they don't seem to want to please the paying customer. If there's ever a next time I'll just ask for my money back. Because I don't need to waste my money on shitty stale food that comes with an attitude. I called the store and maybe I should actually give them a star for answering since most businesses don't answer the phones anymore or call back. I guess he was the manager so I explained what happened, and that I wasn't satisfied. By the way my dog got my nuggets because that's all they were fit for. Probably the health department should check how long they are leaving food up for. Anyways he offered if I come back tomorrow he'd replace my meal, this is after I explained I do not live in Leesburg and only go there on Mondays to drop my husband off at work and pick up on Friday's, because I'm disabled and can't go back and forth. So I asked if he could make a bit of it and allow me to on Friday. Lol he said he couldn't do that. Really? But you can serve stale food wasting people's money. Thanks a lot I'll call corporate. Because apparently changes need to be made and I do believe they have higher stands than this. Thanks for reading. My suggestion if you order there and you can't be guaranteed fresh food, then you should check EVERY ITEM YOU HAVE WHILE STILL AT THEIR DRIVE THROUGH WINDOW. DONT WORRY ABOUT SLOWING THE LINE DOWN IF THERE IS ONE BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT WORRIED ABOUT GIVING YOU FRESH QUALITY FOOD. YOU CANT TEUST THESE PEOPLE ANYMORE. I don't know how they are training these days but it needs some checking on.
What I don't understand as I read through other reviews also about stale food, bad attitudes, and twice dipped fries, is why does the McDonald's owner reply and then apparently NEVER MAKE CHANGES. I'd be willing to bet the reply is for looks and what we really need to do is call corporate and the...
Read moreThis McDonalds is horrible. Has always been my #1 because it is my hometown McDonalds but enough is enough. Literally every time I have tried to get ice cream there in the last 8 months, the machine is down. That is not enough to earn 1 star though...a few weeks ago I had a craving for ice cream so my boyfriend was sweet enough to drive all the way here from Wildwood. We were one car away from the drive thru speaker to place our order. Not sure how long the other two cars in the double drive thru lanes had been waiting, but I convinced my boyfriend to wait close to 15 minuets in the drive thru. Eventually, the other two cars had given up and drove away. We then drove up next and waited close to another 10 minuets at the speaker waiting for our order to be taken. No one was responding. We were starting to get a little upset but I was thinking to myself that it is not their fault that their speakers must be broken and do not know where are here. I asked my bf to park and I would run inside in the rain to get my cone. I even joked that this would all be in vain because I bet their ice cream machine will be down again. Anyways, I get inside and could feel the tension between the 5 customers already in the lobby. One man cursed and stormed out as I was coming in. I patiently wait for my order to be taken and give the other customers a knowing look "I cant believe this service!" which they shared back. There were 4 girls working together, cussing at each other and not helping anyone. The gentlemen at the counter was telling them that his nuggets were on the heating counter and one of the girls argued with him that they were not his. They were rude to each other and two of the girls threatened to fight each other right then. A few more minuets passed by with the employees arguing with each other and ignoring us customers before I was finally acknowledged and asked what I ordered again...I told the girl I hadn't ordered yet and that I just one ice cream! And of course......The Machine was...
Read moreLet me give some insight in the Late Night/Early Morning time frame for this place, especially for those of you who work overnights. You're better off ordering ahead from Denny's and picking food up there or just going straight to the Wal-Mart down the road and getting something there.
The late night crew is extraordinarily slow, serves cold, stale food even if you request fresh food, and the biggest kicker of all comes next. What sort of 24-hour facility has nightly, yes every single night, problems with running debit/credit cards? The answer lies in this real life tale where I went for a couple coffees for myself and a co-worker on my break. I called ahead of time and asked if they would be able to run my card for payment and if they had fresh coffee and was essentially responded with, "Yes." Not five minutes later at the drive-thru, I'm greeted with, "Hello, welcome to McDonald's. I'm sorry but at this time our machines are updating and we are unable to take any orders for another 20 to 30 minutes." Seething with rage at this point, I just sat there until the speaker begins repeating, "Hello, welcome to McDonald's. I'm sorry but at this time it will be another 15 to 20 minutes before we can take any orders." This is where I go off on the speaker telling them how I literally had just called ahead of time to make sure they would be able to take my order and process it to fulfillment and for wasting my time running down here on my 30 minute break. The speaker finally comes back and says, "Ok... well, what do you want?" I inform them of the coffee. "Ok, well it's cash only." Luckily this day, I actually had cash on me. I pull around, pay, get the coffees, get my change, and immediately notice something off. I had been shorted change. At this point, I had spent almost my entire break at the drive thru, so I had to get back to work. It definitely leads one to wonder though, if they tell you, "cash only," how much money are they stealing from customers...
