Went here with high expectations based on other's reviews. The decor is awesome and was told echo reducing tiles are going to be installed soon. We placed drink orders and were informed no Chardonnay, but a Spanish (?) wine was suggested as an alternative. JD asked for a Miller Lite and was told there was one can left over from bike week, again ? What? We both ordered the bratwurst on a pretzel roll, with sauerkarut and German mustard. While I enjoyed my sandwich I did miss the salt on the pretzel bun and never thought the side of chips was a going to be a mini Halloween bag of cheetos . Was also suprised that the plate was half of a stryrofoam take out container... JD assured me that this was a one and done, sorry to say I love the decor, but unless you want their beer.. nothing much else offered. No mixed drinks served. If you havent already figured it out JD was underwhelmed with his sandwich. Danielle was a great server, but really didn't have a lot to work with. Was kind of confused as too their style. They need to pick a food standard stick with it, and offer beverage selections for those in the group that aren't craft beer people, really loosing a large...
Read moreThis is such a cool little hangout. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with smiling faces. After sitting and diving through the beer selection, I resorted to a dealers choice flight. It's become my favorite way to order drinks now, but pretty much gives the bartender or server free range to pick whatever the heck they want to give me. I'm not picky, and I suck with choices, so it works. The beer was great but it's the food that I want to spend time on. I will say that the Cuban sandwich here is probably the best in Leesburg. I'm from Tampa, and La Segunda is just hard to beat. It was proportioned correctly, seasoned very well, and pressed to perfection. Overall, it's a really good sandwich. I also ordered the grilled cheese and bacon jam, and boy, let me tell you this grilled cheese here slaps. The cheese pull was commercial worthy, and the addition of the sweet savory bacon jam just took this grilled cheese to a whole new level. Overall, I had a great time with great company in such a great place. I will...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped in for the 1st time yesterday afternoon for some lunch. My husband had a flight with varying choices he enjoyed. I was an official taste tester of his options (haha) and our personal favorite was the dark ale. It was super smooth and had a nice rich flavor. I had a cuban sandwich, my husband had the reuben. Both sandwiches were excellent! My husband said it was one of the best reubens he has had and the best one since we moved down here 8 yrs ago. The decor was something we talked about the entire time we were there as everything was so esthetically pleasing we kept finding new things to look at and admire. The original brick walls really bring warmth and character. We had the pleasure of enjoying Jose's company and really enjoyed talking with him and the Bartender whose name escapes me this morning (I'm so sorry!). We would have loved to have stayed longer, but had a movie to catch. You were both so kind and just pleasant to spend time with. We are looking forward to...
