I ordered food at 8:51pm last night. The guy on the phone claimed it would take close to an hour when in fact we got the food on 30 min. It was obvious it was reheated and that the one meal was extremely spicy. We asked for a "little bit of spice". Since this was a combo plate it all came together... and let me just say it was ALL TOGETHER as if the delivery driver drove 100 mph and sloshed everything around. It was soggy and I found at least 6 whole chili peppers in my small helping of chicken and broccoli. It all was obviously microwaved and rushed over. What wasn't spicy was completely sub par and salty. They actually asked us to tip before we got the delivery which I thought was tacky. The manager called back the next day at 7pm saying we needed to have the saved food and that it was all lumped together because it would take too much time to separate the crab rangoon from the meal. She then was condescending and talking down to my gf on the phone. She laughed and attempted to make my gf feel like it was her fault we ordered food so late and that we were lucky they answered the phone and that they usually won't even answer the phone at 9:15 pm because they're, "close to closing". Unreal. We literally tried to call as soon as we got our disaster of a meal but no one answered. We've eaten here before and I found it odd they charge you per fortune cookie. None are included. The "manager" hung up on my gf and interrupted her throughout the short phone call! Not once did my girlfriend demand for anything or talk down to this manager, Cindy. It's simple customer service to do something if a consumer spends $30 on 2 small meals and has not had a pleasant experience to try and do something, anything to assist in making sure we return as customers. Instead my girlfriend was hung up on and told their "policy" was for people who do not like their food to save it. What in the actual heck is that? I'm not saving disgusting food a whole 24 hours to stink up my fridge to bring all the way back to thr restaurant. I took pictures of it but she said too bad. Pretty sad this business is so rude and tight on money to even offer any kind of solution...
Read moreIf I could rate China Wok on Bayless higher than a 5/5 believe me I would. I have been going there for the past 4 years ever since I received my drivers license. I have nothing but great things to say! I've explored other Chinese restaurants and by far China Wok is my favorite. The staff is very welcoming, kind, and caring.
They also resolve problems if one was to occur with your food. Give them the respect that you receive from others. Mistakes happen, and if it really bothers you so much to the point where you are that unhappy and have to use profanity upon them, then don't ever go there again. There's no reason to cause a storm over a wrong order, wrong items, missing items, etc. If they made a mistake they will gladly help you out as long as your give them.... RESPECT.
Also note they deliver, but don't call and stir up an order 5 minutes before close that is rude and they will say no, and if I was the owner I would say NO as well.
Also note that what you eat at other Chinese restaurants will either taste similar here, or won't taste similar to where you've been before. If you like it enjoy it, if not then do not cause trouble.
Regardless of the matter this is my favorite Chinese restaurant, and I've been going here forever. As stated before, if your order is messed up in any shape or form they will GLADLY resolve a problem as long as you keep your cool and show respect.
Personally speaking, if you have to curse over an order that was wrong, or not cooked properly then I give you 0 respect. You're not paying $100 for ONE meal, so hold...
Read moreSo I ordered delivery yesterday 07/01/23. I ordered a chicken entre, hot and sour soup, chicken fried rice, and a order of crab rangoon. After receiving my delivery, I noticed that the crab rangoon was missing in the bag. I normally don't call, but this time I did considering I had just spent $34 on my order. I had called and a young man had answered, then put a young girl on the phone. I told her what my order was, my address, and that I was missing the crab rangoon in my bag. She said hold on and placed me on hold. When she returned back to the phone she proceeded to tell me that the guy who put my order together swore he put the crab rangoon in the bag. I said no and named off everything, but the crab rangoon. She proceeded to argue with me about it. She finally mentioned that she would either have it delivered or give me a credit for next time, to which she should have done from the beggining. I asked for the credit because it wasn't the delivery drivers fault. That being said, why would you argue with a customer over $3.50 and why would I lie about something that petty, when I have ordered there for years now. I have worked food before at Imo's, and we never argued with the customer, just made it right, ex if it's over a few dollars. I will not be ordering from this location again. My money can be...
