Giant Pizza & Deli — Restaurant in Lemon Grove

If I could place a 0 star review I would. First time ordering, would love to give back to small mom and pop shops that start in Lemon Grove. Unfortunately will never go there again. Ordered two pizzas using their special one was supposed to be half cheese, and pineapple. They delivered the pizza' as half meat, and pineapple. We called immediately to correct the pizza, basically declining the pizza. They said they would credit another one, which is fine but, would leave a guest without anything to eat. After a small phone conversation the driver said he would return in 30 minutes with the correct pizza. Note HE did not offer to take the incorrect pizza, He said he would bring another one. 60 minutes later NO pizza. We called the Pizza King as our guest had not ate, and they basically said we did not want the replacement pizza. I actually listened to the entire conversation, and the manager straight lied. Ordered three pizzas, one 14" cheese, one 20" The Works and one 20" Meat Lovers. Picked up the pizzas and once at home realized they messed up my order and gave me a 20" Cheese and not the Meat Lovers. Took pictures of all three pizzas and called. Went back to get the correct pizza and because I didn't bring back the incorrect pizza the manager didn't want to give me the correct pizza that I had order paid for. He proceeded to try to snatched the pizza back from me because he incorrectly thought I had the Cheese pizza in the car because he had saw a pizza box. He was very rude and I will never go there again and will make sure that other people are aware of what type of customer service...

This used to be the Papa John's, but I'm so glad it's Giant Pizza King now. The food absolutely delicious, our family favorite is the ham and cheese pizza. The pizza, wings, and soda deal is one of the best deals for less than $20. Their wings and sauce is phenomenal. As much as I can rave about the food, I have to say that the family who owns the business are some of the best people I've ever met. They truly care...and everytime we walk in, they always have a huuuge smile on their faces, and ask us how were doing, and if we're ordering our usual....you honestly can't beat that personal touch.
