We all know McDonald's, it's the most popular fast food chain. You have a pretty good idea as to what to expect. I believe this one may have been understaffed or staffed with newly trained employees, because orders took a long time to process. The bathrooms were due for a quick cleaning. We stopped while on our way back from vacation. I think many of the other patrons did the same.
My biggest issue could have happened at any McDonald's. The kiosks have taken over. And they are slow for new users. I have used them a couple of times before, but this time it wouldn't work correctly with my "buy one get one deal." it gave me the option to cancel or start over, I started over... but then it would not let me use the deal. Seems cancel and start over mean the same thing to the kiosks. No warning that starting over would void the deal....
There was only one person working a cash register and there was a long line. If all McDonald's are going to rely on kiosks they should make them more user friendly. But honestly, it worked out better for corporate because I spent more money than intended because there's no way to reclaim the deal. And I didn't have time to wait in the long, slow line for a real person. And even if I did... Can they get me my deal back? I continued with the kiosk sans deal. I was one of only a couple people using one!
The food was still as good as you can expect from McDonald's! No complaints there! I think the problems I encountered had little to do with the staff that actually were there... It was likely more so that there weren't enough of them... And that people clearly don't want to use kiosks... And when they do and there's a problem, there's nobody available to help!
Do I win the longest review ever on a...
Read moreAround 9pm. It was unbelievable. A mess everywhere you looked. The trash cans we're overflowing. There was food and trash all over the floor behind the counter. Cardboard boxes all over the counter we're the registers we're. They were just getting stock out of the boxes as they needed it it looked like. Under the Fri cooker was fries and trash unbelievable. The seating area tables were over half covered in people's trash. All the floors in the waiting area was nothing but dirt and mud. The rugs at the door was just a disgrace looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in days. The counter where you get your straw's and paper towels. Had spills that looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day. I got paper towels and wiped the long hair off for other people. The girl in the under armour hoodie was on her phone texting. There was only me and two guys waiting on food.15mins. I talked to them. They couldn't believe the condition as well. I wish I would have had my phone on me to take video. It would have been a YouTube hit. If McDonald's Corp would have walked in there. I bet they would have closed the store. And fired the manager and sent everyone home. Only two of the 4people was working. The girl at the drive-thru and the guy cooking. The store looked like one of them abandoned buildings. But when I got my food it was fresh. Half a star rating would be a...
Read moreStop here regularly every morning. Some of the staff can be rather caustic in public eye occasionally, but most are good people. It is heavily patronized both inside and at the drive through, so wait times are not always minimal. Expect this when you patronize the establishment and you will not be disappointed. It is the normal McDonald's fare, not a 5 star experience by any means.
My only complaint is that the ketchup packets, left out in counter bins in the indoor eating area from which the indoor patrons get their meal condiments, are consistently covered in maple syrup. This happens almost daily. Other items in nearby bins are not covered in maple syrup. You would think store management would make an effort to stop this, but it has been this way for almost 11 months now - ever since I started patronizing this facility (and I have brought it to their attention a number of times). This situation does not exist at other nearby McDonalds, so what is going here? Either the ketchup pack storage site in back of the counter is evidently under the syrup and needs to be moved or management is trying to contain costs by purposely dirtying the packs with syrup and thereby causing people not to want to take the ketchup packs. Just being sarcastic, it is probably...
