Good lunch crowd, when it was my turn I asked the nice lady at the counter what I should get. She said her favorite was the sausage, the chef was recommending brisket or burnt ends today. I went with the brisket sandwich. The brisket was tender, juicy, had good interior and exterior fat. The smoke ring was excellent. They serve the meat without sauce. Bun appears to be house made as are the pickles, onions, sauces and sides. The nice lady taking my order and the chef are the owners. Friendly, knowledgeable, hospitable. She had suggested the cheesy corn and it was a hit. The pictures will tell a lot of the story. I have eaten a lot of BBQ. So let me say a few things that set them apart. This is “elevated” BBQ! Your pickles and onions are pickled in house. No other BBQ in KC does that to my knowledge. Their sides are not prepackaged. The BBQ is made fresh and sliced to order. Not many BBQ’s have a chef as cook, owner and pitmaster. There is a passion and appreciation for the art of cooking. So as a chef I say to try some of Ryan’s love of the art. You will be happy you did. I would recommend changing the name to Sierra...

It has been a minute since I've eaten KC BBQ. I've eaten BBQ all over this country of ours, and this BBQ can stand proud to serve their BBQ and sides.

We came at dinner time, and the place seated a few people, and someone showed up as we left.

I had only one minor issue that should not stop you from going here, and that was that some of the meats were on the dryer side...

The staff was friendly and helpful. Service was fast. The meals are served on a tray, novel idea. Way too much to eat for us, but we knew that was going to be the case! I enjoyed the sausage and pulled pork. Oh, we ordered the family platter. Even the pickles were very good!

So, if you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping in for a meal.

As always, if you enjoyed this review, please smash the "Like"...

Went here for the first time today - had a nice meal with pros and cons. A friend and I shared a family platter for $35. It was a good deal and came with a generous portion of ribs, we chose brisket, sausage and pulled pork as our other meats. We got cheesy corn, beans, and slaw as our sides. WIN- cheesy corn had some nice jalapeno flavor to it. Pulled pork was tender. Sausage was the best thing there flavor and texture-wise. Service was friendly and restaurant was clean. LOSE- the brisket was thin cut (I like thick) and only had a mild smoke ring and flavor to it. The ribs were a decent texture but had little smoke flavor happening. The biggest downer were the sauces - too much ketchup in the base I think; the best sauce was the Carolina style because the others were...
