Paula's Diner — Restaurant in Lenoir

A friend and I get breakfast together at Paula’s about once a month and it’s consistently delicious. They’re always on their game—friendly from the moment you walk in, whether you’re a regular or a first time customer, and speedy in their service. They make excellent omelets and everything I’ve gotten has tasted just like good old down-home breakfast! Went here for breakfast and it was ok. Not bad but not great either. Had livermush and scrambled eggs. The livermush tasted like it had been cooked on a grill that hadn’t been cleaned. There were bits of black crusty pieces all over it that had a burnt taste with the texture of sand. The scrambled eggs were just tiny pieces of egg (looked like it had been chopped to oblivion) that was really hard to eat because the little pieces kept falling everywhere. Will passing through the area my Wife and I dropped by for a quick breakfast to go. Ordered 2 BLT's - add egg. Requested toast to be a little darker and bacon extra crispy and extra Mayo. Both orders were right and the tomatoes the best I've had this summer. Been to Paula's a number of times over the years and never been disappointed. One of those local hole in the wall kind of places that you look forward to stopping at whenever you have the opportunity. Y'all take care...
