El Presidente margarita, Philly Rolls, Pork Tacos, Mojito.
The Philly Rolls and Tacos were very good, although my suggestion to the restaurant is that the tacos should come with a lime wedge. I squeezed my margarita lime onto my taco and it really elevated it. The pork was fresh real slow cooked pork perfectly mouth wateringly tender. I was very impressed with the beans on the side as well. They tasted like fire (smokey, not spicy) and it was soo tasty. The rice was good. It was nothing special but that's the way it should be. Good texture good moisture good flavor. Philly rolls were perfect, would not change a thing. A little bite with the sauce and a scoop of the lettuce and tomatoes ah. So good. The textures and flavors all work very well together.
My drinks were both way sweeter than I expected. The margarita I kind of let go, but the mojito felt really syrupy and heavy. A mojito should be mainly light and refreshing. Mint, lime, fizzy, and just enough sugar to release the mint oils when they are muddled together and cut the sour from the citrus. This tasted more like a mojito flavored candy. That's where your star was docked for food since there was no separate category for drink.
There was nothing wrong with the service. It's just got to be the very very best to get a five in my book. Thank you for a...
Read moreWhy is it when I eat here at the Leominster Rio bravo management and the staff are always sitting in booths doing absolutely nothing but looking at their phones or watching TV. Ordered a steak and chicken fajita that was no way cooked fresh to order the order was placed and in less than a minute the food was served. The chicken was dry and tasteless. No seasoning as well. The steak, the vegetables the little that they did serve were soggy. The side dish of rice was served cold as well lukewarm beans..
Why is it every time I come here to eat? They rush the food out did not even have a chance to enjoy my chips and salsa and margarita. It seems the staff enjoy standing around. Doing nothing more than they do. Engaging and excellent customer service.
I find it very frustrating trying to eat a meal that has been rushed and worse. The meal was lousy and everybody is standing around.
Why senior management as well corporate are not reading our reviews and responding to this shows directly the business does not care about excellence as well customer service. At this point of eating at the establishment several times I don’t think I would return...
Read moreThe atmosphere was wide open. Lots of staff but no one cleaning. The "manager" was very preoccupied with his cell phone as he roamed around the dining room. He had no interest in anything going on at the restaurant. The staff was very soft spoken and seemingly unfamiliar with the menu. A woman pushing an untidy cart making " "fresh" guacamole left a bad impression. Our meals were lacking in flavor and presentation, although no shortage of grease on the birria quesadilla which was only beef and cheese. No frills. The birria tacos were exactly same as the quesadillas only on smaller tortillas. Presentation was not even considered in the playing. For dessert we had churros that were over fried in oil leaving them oily and covered in a low quality, and very thin chocolate sauce. Tres leches cake tasted fresh from the freezer and thawed in it's box. With so many authentic Mexican restaurants in the area , I recommend avoiding this one chain. Go for...
