Raven is the best waitress EVER!!! Food tasted great! Music too loud. I was at your restaurant Saturday June 30th, 2018 with a party of 16 for my son's graduation party. We've been to your restaurant once before and were impressed with your food. At first when I walked in the gals were sitting on stools to the left of the door (Raven was not one of them)and didn't seem very excited about setting up a table for 16. But they figured it out and did it. Which I appreciated. I had also called ahead and was told we could request the music be turned down since someone in our party has a hearing disability. The manager was kind and kept turning the music down. It never really went down enough and kept going back up. But each time we asked he was kind about it. Here is the main reason why I am reaching out to you. We had AN AMAZING waitress, Raven! She had two huge parties and was still able to be attentive and happy and upbeat. Like, she really really rocked her job that night! I was annoyed because the other gals were mostly sitting on the stools to the left of the door and she did not complain one bit. There were several times where the other gals would come over and assist but for the most part, it was ALL the manager or Raven. She was so excellent in fact, my brother in law, who was down from South Dakota wrote a review on yelp or Google about how awesome Raven was. She really blew our expectations out of the water! It is a tad bit loud at your establishment since most people coming in are coming in to visit with friends/family and it's hard to hear. Your food is pretty good! The wings are HUGE!!! And not one person in our party was disappointed. Each person in our party was there for the first time. You guys even allowed us to bring in a graduation cake for my son. He really liked your chicken tenders! You should consider promoting Raven to training manager because she really rocked! Thank you Raven & your manager for accommodating our big party and making the night really rock. My only complaint really was the music is really loud. I don't have a hearing issue like my sister does and it was a bit loud for even me. Thanks again guys! We really appreciate it and you have won our business time and time again in the future! The other party Raven was taking care of also looked happy and looked like they were having fun!...
Read moreOur server Adeena provided excellent customer service. (5 stars for her). The food was good, but unfortunately the evening ended on a sour note. What happened was, I had initially ordered a Crown Apple with Red Bull. Another person in my party ordered a shot of Crown Apple. She did not like the shot, so I asked a waitress (other than Adeena) to bring the remaining unused Red Bull from my initial drink, so I could use it on the Crown Apple shot that my other party decided not to drink. She said that would be no problem, and we had an understanding there would be no additional charge imposed for bringing me the remaining Red Bull not used on my 1st drink. She returned saying the other half of Red Bull had been used on other drinks but offered me another unopened Red Bull stating no additional charge would apply. Now when my tab was presented, I was charged $5 for Crown Apple with an additional $2.00 charge to add Red Bull. (for my initial drink). No problem, but I was also charged an additional $3.00 for a 2nd Red Bull. Even though me and my party were told there would not be an additional charge, the General Manager STEPHEN SALAZAR, insisted that the charge would apply. He wouldn't honor the fact that another waitress had assured us an additional charge would not apply. We went back and fourth and back and fourth. He would not honor his employee's misrepresentation of not charging for the 2nd Red Bull. REALLY? He snatched the bill out of my hand saying " I'll take care of it" and returned with a corrected tab where he deleted the $3.00 charge. I advised him I did not appreciate how he snatched the bill out of my hand and he denied doing so. REALLY? The waitress, and 4 out of 5 in my party witnessed and verbally confirmed that he did snatch it abruptly out of my hand. Mr Salazar's action's: verbal, physical, indirect comments, and tone of voice are UNACCEPTABLE. What's ironic is, we've been treated very well by Mr Salazar in the past, for we frequent this location very often. This was truly an unfortunate, unpleasant, uncomfortable, uncalled for experience Something definitely was affecting Mr Salazar negatively this evening, and he in turn, took it out on us. (No stars for Mr...
Read moreWas in there last night, Sunday 10/17. The food and drinks were AMAZING and gave us nothing to complain about.
However, the service was atrocious. From the time we sat down until the time we got our food it took 47 minutes. We both ordered chicken strips and sleaze balls. We asked for our sleazeballs our first and got them after we got our chicken. We asked for forks and never got them. I asked for a side of ranch and a side of blue cheese and only got one, then had to request the other. We ordered bomb pop margaritas and it took us 35 minutes to get those. The restaurant was about 55% full. They clearly had enough waitstaff. The server stated they had 2 cooks in the back.
I realize there’s a labor shortage, however I’ve been to a different WD location further up the freeway and they had the exact same issues and complaints from customers pre-covid where it’s slow and unorganized service. This doesn’t appear to be a labor shortage issue it appears to be the way Wing Daddy’s operates normally.
Additionally there were dirty tables with spray bottles, other cleaning supplies and a mop that we’re all clearly visible in the dining room. It stayed that way for the almost 2 hours we were there (almost an hour waiting for our food).
It was game night. This place can make more money but clearly needs better management. Servers should be picking up empty tables and cleaning everytime they drop off with customers. Get the food out faster and you turn tables over faster and make more money by having more customers able to come in. Slow wait times make this place undesirable if you want to pop in to grab a quick bite. Every single sit down restaurant can usually turn tables every 45-75 minutes. This isn’t 5 star dining and shouldn’t result in an almost 2 hour dinner visit. Change management, retrain staff, get this place hustling even more and it will make more money and be booming enough to attract more labor. It’s the basic principles of running a fruitful restaurant.
Kudos to the cooks and whomever made the drinks - you did a great job.2 stars is exclusively for the food. Minus 3 because of service. I’ve gotten creme brûlée faster elsewhere. You...
