Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Leon Valley

Update: After speaking with the manager and owner, I can say that they have made it right. They addressed the employee and we're genuinely apologetic for what happened. They even allowed us to get store credit towards a future purchase. I am happy with the way management and owners handled the aftermath.

The customer service experience at this location was one I wish I'll never have to experience again with any business. The lady behind the counter was rude, had zero customer service skills, was even wiping her nose and touching the donuts. It was the most disgusting thing. She accused us of coming with different people just to get free donuts. She also said that everyone that works at a Shipley's has been trained this way. She said if I want to have a better experience to check my order before leaving because they never get it right . What kind of employee would say that about the company they work for.... We brought back kaloches that had Jalapeno's that my daughters ate and had to spit out. And spoke to the manager Lisa. Lisa said to just bring back what we had and they would replace the order or give us credit. Came back and Lisa was not there but another Lady with grey hair. Explained to the Lady what Lisa said and so the lady with grey hair made it seem at first like she was going to take care of us as customer's, she even offered us a dozen and half of donuts. Then once she packaged everything up, proceeded to ask for payment for the donuts. We said what do you mean? Then she said , you only brought us half of your order. Where are the rest of the kolaches? And then started to accuse us of doing this plenty of times before when this is literally the first time we've step foot inside this particular Shipley's. We called the Shipley's on Huebner because we just couldn't speak to her anymore. It was like she switched on us in a matter of seconds. It was the worst experience ever! Never again. And we'll be letting everyone know...

Worst Shipley's experience I've ever had. The woman kept trying to close the window on us when we weren't done ordering. We ordered 12 kolaches. 6 ham and cheese, 4 sausage and cheese and 2 jalapeño and sausage. We received 2 ham and cheese, 4 jalapeño, and 6 sausage. So I called to let them know and the woman who took our order answered the phone. I explained what happened and she said "I only give you what you tell me. I no hear that. That's not what I hear you say." She just kept repeating that to me. She let me know that if I bring everything back she would exchange them for the correct items, but the hungry boys in my house had already started to eat them. When I told her this she said there was nothing she could do for me. If I'm going to spend twenty dollars on kolaches I would at least like to get what I ordered. So maybe go to another Shipley's because this one has...

Saddest donut shop you'll ever step into. It looked like it had "character " from the outside, but inside...😱 It was hot, not like donut fryers working hot, more like ac was busted hot. The donut "selection" was a pitiful 3 rows high, 3ft wide, crammed into the center of the large display area. They looked like a toddler decorated them. The one employee, an older lady in a sweaty plain white tee, was busy washing dishes and came straight from scrubbing to grabbing some gloves, using the unwashed hand to adjust the outside of the glove on her grabbing hand...🤦‍♂️ half the seating area looked like it was a storage area and to top it off the restroom was out of order - which was the only reason I even stopped here. Next time I'll check BEFORE buying. Never again. NOTHING LIKE ANY OTHER SHIPLEY DO-NUTS I'VE...
