Funland Chinese — Restaurant in Leonia

I would give this place a 4 stars, but the past 2 times I ordered from here, I ordered 1) Shredded Pork with Garlic Sauce, and, 2) Moo Shu Pork. The first time, they gave us Roasted Pork with Vegetables instead, and second time, the Moo Shu Pork was made with Roasted Pork. I don't understand why they insist on using roasted pork for all of their pork dishes, because there is a textural and flavor difference between fresh pork and roasted pork. I understand that you can roast a piece of pork and make it last longer, but you cannot use it for every pork dish. The service is friendly, and the food is pretty good otherwise. Price is good, and portions are generous. Just use roast pork for your roast pork dishes and use fresh pork for everything else. I know pork doesn't keep long in the freezer but that's what running a restaurant is all about - using fresh ingredients. Your beef and shrimp are fresh. why...

I am very happy with the fast service at this place. After looking around the area for a Chinese restaurant that was actually open due to covid, I happened to come across Funland on Yelp and decided to give it a try. As I called in on my drive there, it took no more than 5-10 minutes for the food to be ready.

I also appreciate how well the employees were handling the pandemic, with every one of them wearing a mask. Additionally, they have it set up so that they bring the food straight to you and you can pay with Apple Pay, making the whole experience contactless and quick. I was at the restaurant no more than 1 minute picking up the order.

The portions are very generous and lasted me 2 meals. I would definitely recommend Funland if you're craving...

I have been going to this Chinese takeout restaurant for the past 12 years and my experience is nothing but the best. They make delicious meals which you can take out or eat in. There is sufficient space for comfortable seating. They also make deliveries and are timely (once we had about 10 different orders and it all came in 30 minutes). But most importantly the people are amazing as most mom and pop run businesses are.
