We stayed at this hotel 20 years ago when it was a Holiday Inn. We were very pleased that we were able to book a room here for our family.||We stayed for 5 nights. Breakfast was a continental breakfast with the usual offerings of cereal, yogurts, bread, bagels, and fruit. It was more than adequate and we were satisfied with it each day.||Our room was nice and cool (it was crazy hot in NJ the week we were there). We had no issues with the AC. One issue we had was that we had to request each day to have the room serviced (towels changed, garbages emptied, etc).||The pool was awesome and as good as we remember it from years ago. To be able to come back after sweating in NYC all day was so great for the family. There were always towels there for the guests to use when at the pool. It would be nice if the pool was opened later (it closed at 8pm).||Pros:|- great location and price if you’re visiting NYC|- pool area is fantastic|- good continental breakfast each morning|- hotel was quiet, even on the weekend|- bus stop to get to the George Washington Bridge is right there|- deer sighted in the parking lot nibbling on apples from an apple tree!||Cons:|- ice machines and vending machines were out of order on several floors|- pool could be open even an hour later in the evening|- had to request for the room to be serviced several times|- need to take a cab or Uber from the Fort Lee Plaza bus stop when...

This is the worst Hotwire 3.5* hotel I have ever stayed at. Amenities included “enhanced security”, breakfast and a pool. The first thing I found out that the pool was closed because it is an outdoor pool and it’s only April (then why bother listing you have a pool at all when it’s not in season). The main light between the beds wasn’t working. I didn’t see any evidence of “enhanced security”. The parking lot is open and without any cameras or anything security related I could see. The beds were only covered by thin bed sheets - no blankets. Breakfast was a joke: it consists of yogurt, cookies and granola bars. Taking public transit it’s a nightmare even though it is so close to Manhattan: although the jitney is steps away from the hotel and a short ride, the return trip is a problem because there is no safe way to get back to the hotel from the other side of the highway that the hotel is on. You’d have to go much further away and pay for transit agin to return back. No maid service. The only positives are that the rooms were clean and a good size; front staff were friendly. BTW, if you look closely at the 5* reviews, they are highly suspicious and poorly written; they artificially boost the...

Avoid at All Costs – Pay the Extra for a Branded Hotel I’ve traveled to over 100 countries and stayed in everything from budget inns to five-star resorts. Never — not once — have I stayed at a hotel that offered zero blankets. Yes, you read that right: no blankets whatsoever. Just a flat sheet over a stained, stiff mattress. It’s honestly hard to believe this place operates as a hotel. The Executive Hotel Fort Lee is the textbook definition of “you get what you pay for,” and in this case, you get far less. The carpets are absolutely filthy — years of grime soaked into every inch. The room reeked of something between mold and neglect. To top it off, there was hair all over the bedroom surfaces. Not one or two strands — everywhere. It was as if no one had cleaned the place in weeks. This is not a quirky, off-brand hidden gem — it’s a rundown, dirty, uncomfortable nightmare of a stay. I wouldn’t stay here again if it were free. Do yourself a favor: spend the extra money and book with a reputable, branded hotel. The bare minimum you expect from a hotel — cleanliness, comfort, blankets — you simply will not find here. Stay far away.
