The Rumi is a gem of a restaurant in the heart of Lewisburg, PA. We were in Lewisburg for the second time and once again decided to visit Rumi as our first experience here was amazing. But this time around, we were beyond impressed, not just with the food quality but with the service rendered by the staff. It is abundantly clear that no matter what you order from the menu, you will win! We ordered a mix of non vegetarian and vegetarian dishes, and we were in our food heaven. Some of the highly recommended dishes: Hummus, samosa Chaat, Spinach dish (veg. and/or chicken), garlic naan, and Turkish tea are to die for! :) The prices are very reasonable for such a high quality food establishment. Okay, now to highlight the service: On Sunday, June 22, 2025, upon entering the restaurant, my wife and I were warmly greeted. And from then on, Junaid, our table attendant was absolutely fabulous. He was extremely polite, courteous, detailed and he made sure we were completely satisfied in our dining experience. He went above and beyond and truly personified "hospitality from the heart!" We were also served by another staff member, who I didn't get the name of, but he was also a great reflection of Rumi's hospitality. He in fact even mentioned that he likes to treat his customers like family, which, I could see he personally believed in! In fact, my wife and I felt that we were dining at our family's restaurant, it was so sincere!! Overall, the service was absolutely outstanding. I have to say, no matter where we dine, we will inadvertently compare service and food quality to that of Rumi's. A very heartfelt Thank You to Junaid and ALL of the staff at Rumi and a big congratulations to the owner, Khuram (who I met at our first trip) for setting a brilliant culture of hospitality at this beautiful restaurant. I wish you all many successes and continued happiness. God bless!! Warm...

Rumi in Lewisburg is an absolute hidden gem. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the owner’s kindness and pride in the restaurant came through in every detail.

We ordered ten different dishes from the menu and truly could not pick a favorite because everything was that good. The chicken kabobs were tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The lamb and beef kebabs were perfectly seasoned and beautifully grilled. The saffron rice was light, aromatic, and delicious. The naan was the best I have ever had, soft and fresh with the perfect texture. We also enjoyed the hummus, baba ganoush, lentil soup, and salad. Every dish tasted fresh and made with care.

The food was so good that we went back the very next day, and it was just as amazing the second time. You can tell that this restaurant takes pride in what they serve. The flavors were balanced, authentic, and comforting, and the presentation was beautiful.

The owner took the time to talk with us, explain dishes, and make sure we had a wonderful experience. That personal touch made the meal even more special.

If you are anywhere near Lewisburg, do yourself a favor and stop by Rumi. It is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression and one you will want to return to...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rumi Restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant had a warm and inviting ambiance, with beautiful décor that reflected a blend of Middle Eastern and South Asian influences. The service was friendly and efficient, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived.

Now, let’s talk about the food! We ordered biryani, chicken tikka, and hummus, and each dish exceeded expectations. • Biryani: The rice was fragrant and perfectly cooked, with a great balance of spices. The flavors were rich and layered, with just the right amount of heat. The portion size was generous, making it a satisfying meal. • Chicken Tikka: The chicken was tender, juicy, and had a delicious smoky char from the tandoor. The spices were well-balanced, making every bite flavorful. It paired wonderfully with the mint chutney served on the side. • Hummus: Creamy, smooth, and beautifully presented. It had a fresh, nutty taste from the tahini, and the drizzle of olive oil on top added a nice richness. It was served with warm, fluffy pita bread that complemented it perfectly.

Would I return? Absolutely! Rumi Restaurant is a great spot for anyone craving authentic, flavorful food in a welcoming setting. Highly...

Great Food, Chill Atmosphere — Just Needs Some Music We recently checked out this Indian restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The food was great, full of flavor and well-balanced spices. If you're worried about things being too spicy, don't be. The heat is definitely manageable, and if you like mild spice, this place is perfect. The atmosphere and vibe were definitely there. The restaurant was clean, the wall decor was colorful and inviting, and overall it had a cozy feel. That said, we were the only customers at the time, and it was really quiet. Some background music would’ve made a big difference in filling that silence and setting the mood. We spent about $25 per person for a drink, appetizer, and entrée, which felt fair for the quality and portion size. Overall, I’d definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're craving Indian food. Just hope they add a playlist soon!

Great menu selection and experience. I've visited twice in the last few weeks, the first time for dinner and the second for lunch. Menu was the same for both. No issue grabbing a seat for either visit, no wait time. I definitely recommend the falafel platter so you can try their delicious salad, falafels, hummus and pita all in one large shareable dish. Everything is tasty and full of flavor. We were left waiting about 20 minutes our second trip after asking for boxes which was a bit of a bummer, but service was nice the first visit!

Thank You for a Wonderful Experience Dear Khurram, I wanted to sincerely thank you for the outstanding experience at your restaurant today. The food was absolutely delicious, and your exceptional hospitality truly made our visit special. It was a pleasure to have such a great conversation with you afterward. For my son Noah and me, the day was a truly memorable experience. Warm regards, Andreas Jankowitsch ( the German guy on a roadtrip from LA to NY :-)
