Granddaughters birthday supper Saturday night Made reservations the day before. They were super busy and waited till 8 to get seated. Once we got seated he took our drink order then asked if we were ready to order. There was 7 in our party. They took our order and sushi arrived first then the show started with Oki. He was very funny and very good with the spatula and spoon. He tossed them back and forth very fast. Then started cooking the fried rice. First frying two eggs to add to the huge pile of rice. Then flipped small pieces into our mouths. Hardly missed. Then a huge fire on the grill. And a onion volcano. Lots of humour and then he had a squeeze bottle full of saki. He would squirt the sushi into our mouths. The steak and shrimp that I ordered was fried just the way I like. Medium rare. Perfect so tender and the shrimp was very good. Vegetables and mushroom soup. Make sure u try the yum yum sauce. Good with the rice and steak pieces. Everybody was very happy with there meals. Enjoyed the chiefs show. Then he sang happy birthday to our grand daughter. The hibachi grill experience is worth waiting for. This restaurant will be on our return visit to Lewiston. The staff was busy cleaning off tables and cleaning. Sure glad daughter made reservations so that we could enjoy the show. Being open not too long they managed to put through a few tables and most were very happy with the service and food.

We have visited three times and will be returning. The first time, we tried the hibachi grill (seating's a little tight), which was good, and the chef was skilled. The second time, we came for sushi and the chef's choice plate. This last visit, we ordered the Love Boat, chef's choice. The portions are generous, and the fish is fresh with a great variety. We appreciated that the boat was loaded with sashimi and nigiri, not just rolls. The staff is friendly and attentive, creating a very authentic experience.

It was super loud. We went just for the food n dining not hibachi but the hibachi area was so loud it made the dining experience not good. They were very entertaining n the guests in that side was enjoying for sure but there has to be some consideration for other people who want to enjoy a more relaxed environment. Food n service was good otherwise. Maybe a door?

Title: An Unforgettable Date Night at Koi Restaurant

Review: Tonight, my partner and I decided to try the new Koi Restaurant for our special date night, and I must say, it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived at around 6 o'clock, we were pleasantly surprised to find no wait time, allowing us to dive right into our dining experience.

The food at Koi Restaurant was simply outstanding. Every dish we ordered was a culinary masterpiece, prepared with utmost care and bursting with flavors. The attention to detail and the use of fresh ingredients truly elevated the dining experience. Each bite was a delightful journey for our taste buds, leaving us craving for more.

The service we received was equally remarkable. The staff at Koi Restaurant was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our evening was enjoyable. From providing recommendations to promptly catering to our needs, their professionalism and warmth added an extra layer of comfort to our dining experience.

The ambiance of the restaurant further enhanced our date night. The cozy yet elegant setting, coupled with the subtle lighting, created a romantic atmosphere that was perfect for our evening together. We were able to have intimate conversations without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

Our overall experience at Koi Restaurant was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of exceptional food, wonderful service, and the lack of wait time made it an unforgettable date night. We are already looking forward to our next visit, eagerly anticipating the chance to indulge in their delectable cuisine once again.

If you're seeking a restaurant for a special occasion or a memorable date night, I highly recommend giving Koi Restaurant a try. You won't be...

Wasn't as good as I was hoping.

I ordered the seafood Udon and gotta say, wasn't impressed. The appearance made it a little off as the top of the soup was sitting 2X 3-4inch imitation crab pieces. Like I love to eat imitation crab but that wasn't appealing at all. The shrimp was a little bit overcooked but I can accept that because they may have cooked the shrimp correctly, but then when it was added to the soup it may have continued cooking because dayum that soup was hot. The flavor profile of the soup was good, just everything else was off and not quite right.

My father ordered the Chicken teriyaki with fried rice. I personally didn't try the fried rice but he mentioned the flavor wasn't right or it wasn't as good as hoping. The chicken teriyaki of his I tried and the meat was super process style and was not very good.

Overall flavor were a very hit miss situation. Some flavor were good, other were bleh. The sauces were a little clumpy as if they just exited a fridge that's kept too cold and the chicken was not chicken it seemed.

The sushi was mediocre also in my opinion. Got the special dragon roll and the shrimp tempura in it was a little soggy considering and not alot of flavor for that roll.

Customer service was good and a little overbearing in my opinion.

There were 3 groups when we went and the waiter stood between the tables and the kitchen just watching us. I guess kudos for being on top incase we needed something but don't particularly wanna be watched while I eat.

Overall lots of room to improve but not horrible horrible.

The inside looked amazing though. Clean walls, nice image, organized to...

Haven't even eaten the food and I want to write a review. Came in here for my son's birthday with 4 of his friends. The tall female hostess asked us if we wanted a table or hibachi. I told her hibachi and in a rude tone told me if you do that all of you must order hibachi. Then she takes us back and makes us sit with a table that already has a family of 6 waiting. I asked if we could have our own table and she told me that we would have to wait 20 minutes longer. I've got 5 teenage boys that are starving so that wasn't going to work. So we sat down and 3 of the boys and myself weren't even in view of the cooking area (which is part of the experience).

We then sat and waited for at least 10 minutes before I asked the nice server if they only had 1 cook or what was the reason for over flowing the table with 2 parties of 6. She told me that there was 2 chefs and that we can move to the other table if we would like l. I explained what the hostess said and she just shook her head.

About a minute later the rude hostess reappears and is even more annoyed saying that she already asked me and if we wanted to move we would have to wait longer. I told her we've already been waiting and it doesn't make any sense to seat two big groups together like that when the whole experience is getting to see the chefs cook.

Besides the rude hostess the server lady was super nice and so was the chef. The food was...
