The atmosphere of the dining, decor and staff are very upbeat and friendly and seem to be efficient in keeping things moving along as well as the price was a plus. It was very busy and a long line but it went pretty quick. But the the pizza wasn't great as I hoped. The sauce was ok the toppings were very scarce I even had two slices with no pepperoni on them as a main ingredient of the pizza and very little cheese. I had a total of 5 small pepperoni slices for whole pizza with 3 other toppings that were scarce too. So ask for more at least normal for yours. The gluten free pizza was chewy in some slices as I had warned them it could be. I had asked for extra browning/ crisper on bottom to eliminate that as I am well seasoned with this process and GF crust and found what wks. The girls applying the toppings said oh its fine it won't be chewy one staff member had it and she said it wasnt. But it was - two slices were chewy however, at least not the whole pizza was a total loss but still disappointing. The other issues are they seemed to cook the GF pizza with the other wheat/gluten pizzas and could have had cross contamination issue though I didn't have a reaction it's not what gluten free with celiac, gluten intolerance can handle. I should have been more careful even for me. Forgot about oven. It's rare to be able to eat out these days and I am thrilled when I can find a place that offer GF and will order alot when I do but it's a risk on having it cooked here for sure unless they are made aware and some changes they need to do. They don't have the flour pizzas made with stuff floating in air while making GF so that's a plus. The dough was ready to go premade maybe for the day. They dont seem to be educated on the importance of the seperation to cook GF in oven tho. Work in progress I suppose. I will mention it to the manager and give them another try if they can do the changes above. And review...
Read moreWe have been here a few times now, trying to make it work, but it is not a place for us.
The service is alright. Most of what we experienced is friendly. And we generally enjoy conversation but here it often includes intimate personal details. It's quite odd.
We get the appeal, the convenience, but we have issues with their dietary friendliness and cleanliness.
James has tried both the califlower and "gluten friendly" crusts. Despite the ingredients listing no wheat flour or gluten proteins, the physiological response he has after eating suggests that gluten is present. Rather than assuming a misrepresentation of the facts, we are considering cross contamination as the culprit. This place doesn't currently appear legitimately gluten free safe.
The other sticking point for us is the individual cleanliness. Employees don't wear hair nets, even with full-faced beards. Those that helped us often touched their hat brims and wiped their hands on their pants. These same gloved hands touched counter tops and handles that non-gloved hands are touching. We understand it will be in an oven, but no thank you.
If they can clean up their act a bit, we would consider...
Read moreVery frustrating experience on all parts. Stood in line waiting to order and we got called around to the second person who said they would take our order. I was expecting to be able to tell them my order as they made it like everybody else got to, but i was just asked "what do you want?" My wife recited her order, and the employee started writing it down. I admit i was overly frustrated, being hot and hungry, and got irritated that they werent willing to make it as we went so i got upset and said id wait until i could have it made as we went. The employees helped the next in line and started staring at us and whispering, which was even more frustrating. To avoid further issues, we decided to leave. My son started acting up on the way out and i got upset with him. A customer followed us outside even though we were leaving starting to yell if there was a problem and started provoking us. He came out several times, and an employee came out also, even though we left on our own causing no conflict. I just wanted to make it my own because i was uncertain what i wanted and i felt very rushed and put off...
