Very Very disappointed with this stay, and not worth the money paid. The room smelled terrible, there was still garbage in our room, an empty water bottle in the corner of the room with the cob webs and dirt all over the lamp. on top of that, my coffee pot/Keurig was covered in dust and dirt, and the pods where expanding which tells me they where expired. Did not even bother with that. I asked to switch rooms and it was super inconvenient where we were going to be placed, so I settled. I also paid more for "riverfront" or "Riverview" and got trees...I asked about that and was told that's pretty much what I get, its subject to change, but they get to keep my money, wonderful. So we did our thing, we where out most of the time so just took the unfortunate circumstances we where in . The next morning, as we were looking for the remote, we have kids...we noticed large...discussing brown spots on the bottom part of the blanket....OMG at this point, I decided that this is just unacceptable, and was time for a review. Its such a shame, its a beautiful hotel, and the restaurant had great food and service. Also, had to call because I was charged a $3 fee, and I was told its because of the amenities that they provide!? Really? Ive never staying in a low grade hotel, but i feel like I have now.

LOVED the decor. Very fun, swanky and mid century modern. The room looked lovely upon arrival after a half day travel, however as we settled and got ready to sleep we noticed the sink in the bathroom was clogged with water and brown particles floating inside, the tub was stained yellow with a sunken spot and more brown particles from where it had come up. The drain was covered with buildup, I figured it was a fluke and asked for another room. The hotel worker was very nice, apologized and got another room which she got as close as possible for easy transition. The rooms bathroom did look better, drain still had buildup and tub was discolored but not as bad. We went to sleep (beds and pillows were comfortable) but the next morning I noticed all the fixtures were covered in dust, and over by the bed had not been vacuumed and had pieces of something plastic and food all over the floor. Pretty disappointing based on not only the first impression but the price point of the room. I will not be returning to this location.

Red Lion? More like Red Lying. This is a bait-n-switch hotel. First, I specified in my Concur booking "upper floors". Horrible IDGAF front desk staff kids conveniently didn't pay attention to this, put me on the first floor. Ok, I can live with that. Now the good part...I'm not even IN THE RED LION HOTEL. I'm across the parking lot in the "Seaport Club & Suites"! It doesn't even say Red Lion on the dilapidated old POS building!! I don't care if Red Lion purchased this dump, it should not be open to the public until it has signs up, at the very least. The worthless front desk staff was also soooo terribly inconvenienced to have to give me instructions on how to get to my other hotel, I mean...room. Silly me, I should've known the room was across the parking lot, in a complete other building! Avoid this joke of a hotel!

Absolutely horrible check in experience with sloppy girl at check in who was not helpful at all.

Bought 2 nights with breakfast package, but learned it’s different now than when we previously stayed. We opted for just the breakfast buffet instead and she said the manager gave us a couple of dollars of credit.

We paid about $30 extra per night for the breakfast and she couldn’t/ wouldn’t share what the credit was. Still no credit on our account.

We didn’t see the WiFi password when we checked in and I needed to work that afternoon, so called down to the front desk. She put me on hold after muttering something unintelligible and so I called back to ask again.

She was irritated and said “ I already told you what it was”.

Before our check-in, I asked to have two extra blankets and two extra pillows delivered to the room, and they were not there when we checked in. I ran into the housekeeping manager in the hall and he was very kind and brought them up to us. He was very helpful

He also gave us some extra water and showed us how to use one of the lights in the room that wasn’t working

However, on Saturday morning, we left to go to breakfast and I left my designer Betsy Johnson leopard reading glasses on my Bible on the nightstand. When we returned at 330pm the reading glasses were gone, the bed had NOT been made, towels were not replaced but trash was emptied and coffee was replaced. I had made the bed before we left but it was not remade or touched. No one told us at check in that housekeeping was now optional.

TV Remote didn’t work Saturday night so had to have housekeeping come in and replace batteries while we were in our pajamas.

Overall a big ZERO.

Will be following up on stolen eyeglasses with manager and really...

Sunday , March 31,2024 This is not a pleasant subject but must be addressed!! This morning for Easter brunch I had a reservation for 10:30am for 4 adults. I asked for no stairs, as I’m an active chemo patient, When we arrived, the reservation desk asked if my party was here, we said yes, the hostess says right this way, never once to look to see if we were following her. Much to my disappointment, we were seated at table 209, furthest away from the food court, with the longest handicap ramp , oh of course we were seated by the stairs next to the bar!!!! After we sat down, we ordered our drinks, took our plates and walked back to the food court. The display was lovely. Each person who came through the food court buffet style , had the same experience the FOOD WAS COLD. Do you understand that Food borne sickness comes from eating food in the danger zone , as was your potato’s, sausage, dried out chicken, My ham was served to my plate by a worker wearing gloves , mind you he wasn’t using tongs or a knife or a fork to serve it with, just his gloved hand. HOW NASTY WAS THIS and so UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I asked for a cup of hot tea, it wasn’t even hot. We were disappointed , to say the least. I do believe I should contact the food inspector this was outrageous!! To matters worse, After we paid the bill, we handed the waitress a cash tip. She said thank you, would you like your receipt? Yes please.. she was given a cash tip as well a 20 percentage fee added to my bill for grand buffet??? This is completely UNACCEPTABLE!!! You can guarantee I will NOT return for any of your buffet specials . Our table with 4 guests( 2 couples) each paid $116.11 for COLD FOOD, grand buffet surcharge of $39.86 is unacceptable no matter how...

$270 for a double queen. This is not a $270 per night motel. Ive had better service at a Motel 8. The bathrooms at the pool hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. The garbage by the pool was the same, (overflowing and caked in dust and dead bugs.) The room wasn’t cleaned prior to our arrival, as we found multiple items from the last customers on the ground. I truthfully wondered if the sheets had even been changed. There was no lighting by the pool area at night. Multiple lights burned out in both elevators, and in the hallways. When told about the problems we encountered, we were told that if we were “looking for some kind of discount or refund, the manager was off-site. I don’t know when he will be back. But I’ll have the manager call” me. I don’t care about getting any money back. I just want people to know this place has the “Grand” name, however it is not “Grand” quality. It’s been over 24 hrs since we left and have not heard from the manager. Traveler beware, if you are looking for quality and service, go elsewhere.

All that being said, the food at both restaurants was good and the service was decent. Not excellent, but no real complaint to be made.

I don’t need to be waited on. But, if im spending almost $300 per night at a “Grand Hotel,” I’d better be waited on. This place either needs a manager that cares about the company and it patrons, or a huge price reduction!

Update: 20Aug24 and the manager has still not called. There is no reason to...
