I just had the WILDEST time at Bone Appetite. Strap in guys, it's long but it's a helluva ride. My friend wanted a steak and I had been wanting to try it out. I had heard great things, it always comes up when people ask for recommendations and I was excited to support a local business. I will say the drink was great and the bartender was lovely but everything else was an absolute disaster. The app was requested with the sauce on the side. It came with the sauce. No biggie... We ate it without complaint. We both ordered a ribeye medium rare with broccolini. I added some shrimp to mine. My friend also ordered the brisket mac n cheese and a lobster tail add on, both of which were chewy and dry. We didnt complain about this either. Then the ribeyes came out wrong. My besties' steak was medium but she said it was hard and it had some sort of sauce or jus that was NOT listed on the menu. My ribeye was gray on one side and medium well on the other. The shrimp add on was on top of my steak and was also covered in some sort of sweet peppery type sauce which also ended up on the steak. The shrimp are listed as a shrimp scampi which implies butter and garlic not BBQ adjacent so that was a bit of a pisser, esp bc they were overcooked and wouldn't even come off the skewer. I didn't complain about the shrimp. I just took that L. When we let the server know the steaks were wrong and that we would like them with out the sauce this time, that was the end of our customer service. No words were said, she just walked off and got the owner who is apparently also the cook. I had heard great things about him too so I thought surely this will be made right and Imma get the experience I was expecting. Whew was I wrong. Y'all this man said he temps the steaks and checks them before they're sent out and it might have been hard to tell since it's dark in the restaurant. Also that he cooks his steaks in a jus and he's not going to make it without it. He offered to cook something else like some chicken or fish. In hindsight, I should have taken him up on it but I didnt go there for chicken. I wanted a steak so I said I would switch to a filet also medium rare. My friend did the same. They had taken my whole plate so my broccolini were gone and when the filet came out they didnt bring them back so I was out of the best tasting part of the night. The filets came out (again left with us without a word) with a heavy sear and somewhere between blue and rare. I would have eaten it if it tasted good but it was heavily charred and the char tasted bad. Like burnt bad. I couldnt. I have never sent back food like this. This is not how I live my life I promise. Someone did stop and ask how the filet was and I told her my concerns and said I'm sorry I cant eat this. No apologies or pleasantries were given she just said she would bring the checks. Not only were the checks wrong and things added that we did not order but I was blown away that it was for $100. THEY CHARGED ME FOR THE FILET I DIDNT EAT. I said I wasnt going to pay for it bc i couldn't eat it and the owner came back out and told me that it's a char grill restaurant, it's not for everyone and he's cooked me 2 steaks and that I was gonna pay for one of them which one did I want to pay for. Y'ALL! THE GALL OF HIM! I have never had an experience like this. There was back and forth but he clearly wasn't letting me leave without paying for one of his steaks so I told him it wasn't going to be the $50 one. My bill then went down to $75 and I left hungry. Also worth noting, we were sitting in front of the kitchen door and saw a waitress moving food around on a plate with her bare hands before it got served and the couple sitting next to us ordered a ribeye medium and it was medium rare. IDK what happened tonight. The food was bad. The customer service was non existent. Standards were low and the owner was rude AF. I'm shocked, hungry, and disappointed

Husband I were on date night and wanted to eat somewhere new. Unfortunately sc isn't the best place to get a decent meal it seems. However we came across this place and decided to give it a try. Upon arrival nice ,clean, good ambiance. We were greeted right away. We really also liked the live music, the young lady singing was giving great 90's vibes worth listening to! So far great start. So our server comes over calm and pleasant. We looked over the menu. not a large to selection, but it's really the steaks that are the highlight. No biggie, Cool. My husband and I were both servers so we always pre tip, we gave her $20 upfront. We order drinks,I ask for a recommendation because I'm not a heavy drinker, just wanted something sweet cute and fruity a good mix.not strong. Server recommended a martini, cool I took her advice. My husband got an old-fashion. We ordered Caesar salads to start. So this is when the tide starts to shift lol. We get salads still no drinks, finish salads still no drinks. The drinks took forever to come, and I get that things can take tim right,ok cool. But the place was practically empty at this point and the bartender seemed to be chatting with a regular or friend. After waiting a tad longer and the server realizing we didn't have them yet they finally came. My husbands was just ok but drinkable. Mines however tasted like pure cough syrup and running alcohol. so much I couldn't enjoy it. When the server came back I just asked if I could get a margarita instead. Those are usually safe. She took it with a little bit of a stale face. But hey I want to get what I pay for...something drinkable. And the prices here are higher so I def wanted better. Any way she came back for order I got a steak and brisket Mac. My husband ordered wings and fries. He asked how the lemon pepper was server said it was good. We asked if it was dry or wet SEASONING. She said wet lol(wait for it...) when the food came the wings were covered in like a dressing! Which was not expected, nor was it mentioned. you would think server would have said yes it's like a dressing vs a rub right!? Invision wing with honey mustard dressing that's what it gave. But I digress. Then the wings were tiny I mean the tiniest little things and again may I remind you the prices were higher. Then onvthe menu it said that u get 8 wings they brought us 6. My husband brought this to the servers attention respectfully and she asked to see the menu and said " oh it's says the amount on there we usually don't list an amount," ... But I'll bring you more. Honestly it was just off principal at that point. So she leaves after trading glances with the bartender. Who then says something snarky I'm sure because the regular he was chatting away with bursts into laughter mind you while he's finishing my margarita. He then strolls over to our table and basically confronts me about returning the drink. I understand playful banter... what was wrong with the drink in a playful manner, but he came straight face to the point where my husband was like " you coming over here kinda strong bro," to let him know you might wanna bring it down. Only then he put up a fake smile and I explained to him I wanted fruity and the drink was overpoweringly strong and tasted like cough syrup. He then flashed the fake smile and said ok well you will like this one and walked away.... I didn't like it...didn't even taste like a margarita. They finally brought wings out, husband was gonna just have wings as appetizer but decided that would be all he got after all of that.my steak was good, the Mac n cheese and brisket wasn't That great tasted old and brisket was rubbery. Yea...not great...

We first decided to try BA a couple of months back at lunch . We were seated and waited about 15 minutes with no service. No greeting. No drinks. There seemed to be only one person working . Things happen. We completely understand. People call in sick. People dont want to work . We disnt have reservations. We decided to leave and to try again . This past Friday we trued again , with reservations. We were sested immediately. After about 10 minutes we had our drink order taken ( just Tea ) which literally took about another 10 minutes. I will not make this review as long and drawn out as our dinner was , but I will say it was an extremely discouraging experience. The atmosphere was laid back , the live music was nice , and the food had potential.. the service was horrendous, and the operations was equivalent. We ordered an appetizer of the crab dip .. had it been " thinker " it would have been great , the " chips " that are served with them are absolutely incredible. The problem is is that we didnt grt bear enough chips with the dip , and our drinks were empty when we finally got the appetizer. We eventually ordered our entree. The restaurant wasnt busy . After receiving our salads , and eating them , we sat for about an hour waiting on our food. A Ribeye medium rare and their medallion Alfredo pasta . Once again , an hour plus completely forgotten about . Empty drink glasses. No " let me check on your food " we watched other tables get sat , appetizers , entrees , refills , and enjoy their meals as we literally just sat there with absolutely nothing. We watched as the manager came and spoke to some friends at the table next to us for about 10 minutes , and didn't notice us . We watches as other severs doing a way better job of caring for THEIR tables , walk right past us with zero concern for anybody other than their tables. ( hindsight they probably thought that we had already eaten and paid and were waiting to leave ) after over an hour after we order , get this , ONE plate finally came . The ribeye which disnt have a single spec of seasoning. No. A manager disnt bring with an apology for the delay , nor a " im sorry your other entree will be right out " nor did they notice that we took 2 bites and set ut at the edge of the table . Nor did they notice that are drinks were completely empty ( we got 1 refill about 30 minutes into this almost 2 hour ordeal, and it took almost 20 minutes from the time it was requested ) after sitting for another who knows how long , I finally went to the bar where our server was now mixing drinks ( no he wasn't the bartender doing double duty, there were 2 bartenders on staff and im assuming taking a break at this point ) and told him not to even worry about the second entree, just to being the check so we can go . He showed up at our table with the 2nd entree packed to go , and the bill which they so generously took our teas and appetizer off the bill ( which tells me a manager knew of all the tremble yet still made ZERO attempts at rectifying it ) we paid AND STILL TIPPED WELL . The sad part is is once I got home , still starving, I decided to go out to the car and get the food that I did pay for , and it tasted like it would have been really good . There was good servers there . In the time that we spent sitting for over an hour without a food to nibble on or drink to sip from , we literally joked about asking one of them to adopt us. But it was truly disappointing to see the " every man for themselves...
