As a place to shop, its a lot of fun to walk around and take in a wide variety of vendors.

As a place to vend, its got a pretty awful track history for new vendors. The office is prone to accounting errors, double selling tables, selling tables for the wrong dates, and follows a very strict 'Our way or GTFO' policy, even when they are knowingly in the wrong.

Our personal experience involved going in to rent a table. At 11:30 on Sunday, we went in to rent a table for Next Saturday, specifying the date, the fact that we had to get merchandise ready, and being told repeatedly that we had to be here and be set up BY 9am or our table could be resold.

So we arrived next Saturday by around 8:45, got set up, I left my wife for the day (Night shift employee, went to get home and get sleep before picking her up), only to get home and be called to come pick her up immediately.

Apparently they had resold our table, and claimed our purchase was made for last week. The vendor who showed up at 10 was willing to wait for her to call her ride (Me), while the Barnyard employee told her she had to move her property IMMEDIATELY. That's when she was told by the vendors on either side of her that this had happened to them both at least once before.

Infuriated, I returned and spoke with them, and they refused to make any concession of possible mistake until I pointed out the time of purchase for the table and how ridiculous their claim (That we bought a table for the same day when it was already over halfway through) was. Still refusing to admit it was their own error, they at first told me to leave (admittedly I had some choice words), and then told me they could reschedule.

We WILL not be going through this crap again, and so, since it was obvious error on their part, a refund was in order. Naturally, this brought up the 'GTFO' portion of the above listed policy.

TL;DR Version: Great if you've been there long enough that they know you, crap for new small businesses, and under sloppy and infuriatingly thick skulled management....

My guy has been setting up here going on 2 years.. Nice place,well run. Not sure who exactly was going on about John, but he has ALWAYS been fair with us! He also is very concerned about keeping the " riff raff " out, and keeping it as SAFE as possible as there are many families here. Vendor families as well as customer families ❤️ As a person in a wheelchair with a young son, I GENUINELY appreciate his extra effort!

To those same people that complained they didn't get their primo choice of spots coming in at 8:00 am, when the market opens..Please understand regular vendors book their spots in advance,and have generally been there awhile before hand by then having set up etc.This is common practice at all markets.Letting you know as you must be new to flea marketing. MOST folks there are actually VERY helpful if you don't go in with an "attitude".* Just like everywhere in life. 😉

*Almost forgot to add.. The folks in the Canteen couldn't be nicer! DELICIOUS FOOD and Hands Down THE BEST Hot Chocolate in all the land to keep you going on those cold days 😋 Refreshing awesome lemonade on the hot days!

Great place to pick up a few items and wander around on a beautiful Saturday morning. You can find alot of fresh garden food from sellers.

The bad, everyone here literally smokes non stop. The smell is horrible, if your allergic wear a mask. This may not be the place for you to shop. I saw the office staff joining in on the smoke party. Alot of mkts that I sell at will not allow this, if they do there is a smoking section. I saw a seller with a cigarette hanging out his mouth talking to a customer, the lady was backing away from him. They clearly dont care about the customer experience. The CUSTOMER is important at all times, SMH.

I arrive at -830am to set up to sell a few items from my business, it was bad experience. I packed up a few hrs later and left. I was asked "why are you leaving so early by another seller"?

My answer: THE SMOKE, I failed to research, my clientele doesn't shop here. I will give any place a chance, but you wont get another. I should have known better. Read reviews if you decide to be a vendor at this location.
